The following are terms and policy of the ChronoCrash community. You must agree to all terms to continue use of any ChronoCrash affiliated resources.
The providers ("we", "us", "our") of the service provided by this web site ("Service") are not responsible for any user-generated content and accounts. Content submitted express the views of their author only.
This Service is only available to users who are at least 13 years old. If you are younger than this, please do not register for this Service. If you register for this Service, you represent that you are this age or older.
All content you submit, upload, or otherwise make available to the Service ("Content") may be reviewed by staff members. All Content you submit or upload may be sent to third-party verification services (including, but not limited to, spam prevention services). Do not submit any Content that you consider to be private or confidential.
You agree to not use the Service to submit or link to any Content which is defamatory, abusive, hateful, threatening, spam or spam-like, likely to offend, contains adult or objectionable content, contains personal information of others, risks copyright infringement, encourages unlawful activity, or otherwise violates any laws. You are entirely responsible for the content of, and any harm resulting from, that Content or your conduct.
We may remove or modify any Content submitted at any time, with or without cause, with or without notice. Requests for Content to be removed or modified will be undertaken only at our discretion. We may terminate your access to all or any part of the Service at any time, with or without cause, with or without notice.
You are granting us with a non-exclusive, permanent, irrevocable, unlimited license to use, publish, or re-publish your Content in connection with the Service. You retain copyright over the Content.
You agree to follow all ChronoCrash polices, including but not limited to those listed below in this document.
These terms may be changed at any time without notice.
If you do not agree with these terms, please do not register or use the Service. Use of the Service constitutes acceptance of these terms. If you wish to close your account, please contact us.
As the founder, owner, and operator of Chronocrash and its affiliates, I (@DCurrent) hold ultimate authority over any issues that may arise. In order to ensure consistency and fairness, I have delegated day-to-day operations to a team of Administrators and Moderators (see forum staff).
The team of Administrators and Moderators has been carefully selected based on their capabilities and commitment to maintaining a positive environment. Their decisions regarding infractions and arbitration are considered final. If you receive a friendly warning or infraction from the moderation team, please understand that it is not personal. Our goal is to ensure a smooth experience for everyone in the community, not just a select few.
We acknowledge that cultural differences exist, and while we strive to accommodate various perspectives, decisions regarding acceptability will ultimately align with my cultural values.
For more information on enforcement procedures, please refer to the Enforcement section.
Adding a bit of flourish to your writing is fine, but be reasonable. Gross overuse of icons, text speak, leet speak, CAPS LOCK, colored text, excessive profanity, and other forms of illegibility are not tolerated.
Double posting in the same thread and the occasional thread bump are allowed within reason. Just don’t get carried away. Contributing more to a topic you just posted in is fine. Bumping a topic once every couple of weeks or so is no big deal either. Bumping once a day without anything new to contribute will quickly get the thread locked and earn you infractions.
Thread necromancy, which involves posting in older or inactive threads, is generally discouraged. However, there is no hard rule against thread necromancy, so if you wish to ask for clarification on an old support topic or have a contribution to make on an older discussion, you may do so.
Spam content takes many forms, including but not limited to the following.
Commercial spam and its source account(s) are deleted on sight. We will deal with other forms of spam on a case by case basis. In most instances we will remove the offending post and take enforcement actions as necessary. DO NOT respond to a spam post. Responding in any way encourages more spam. Report spam posts to the moderation staff and we will handle them.
If you wish to advertise a non ChronoCrash related product, post a request in the Forum Issues section asking permission. In most cases it won't be a problem.
Whether through ignorance or intentional malice, it is obvious this person is not, nor will be capable of mature discourse.
Regardless of location or form, harassment is considered a toxic behavior and will be treated as if it occurred within the forum.
Any member incapable of following the above policies will be sanctioned, regardless of the underlying reason.
All this said, we are aware misunderstandings can and probably will occur. This is expected - especially in an international forum where language and cultural barriers can muddle communication. I want to stress again, it's less about what you say, and more about how you say it. If you have a problem with another member, some of the staff, or me, please address us directly. So long as the discussion is mature, I will be happy to talk things out with you and do whatever I can to resolve the problem. This goes for all staff members.
We are a friendly community - politely explaining the rules and unwritten culture here is perfectly acceptable, but beyond that it is not your job to police the forum. If you feel someone is in violation, please make a moderator report and let the staff handle it.
If another member attacks you directly, here or elsewhere, report it to us and then ignore them. If you respond in kind, you are in violation just as much as the person who started it.
Round Robins occur when threads degenerate into circular discussions with one or more participants restating the same basic arguments ad infinitum. Round Robin threads are subject to closure. If the Round Robin is part of a larger thread with other discussions or relevant information, staff members will split the thread as needed. Round Robins alone are not considered an offensive action. However, any attempt to re-open a Round Robin elsewhere is cause for infraction, and in some cases may qualify as harassment.
Note these restrictions apply to private messages as well. If I discover any illicit exchanges through PM's, all parties are subject to infractions, and possible referral to the appropriate authorities.
Chat rooms are provided for general discussion, socializing, and live development. They are not for general support questions. These belong in the forum. This policy is in place to maintain a searchable knowledge base for all members. Technical support questions are subject to migration to the forum and or removal on sight.
All other forum rules apply to chat rooms.
