    Maybe limiting similar colors into one could work? You'd have plenty pixels from 3D-rendered sprites or graphics (straight from the original game, I guess), but maybe Donkey Kong (SNES) would be a good example for 3D-rendered graphics. For OpenBOR, you can take a look at the Mass Effect demo because it has beautiful looking 3D. However, I don't know how making alternate palettes could work. It's just an idea I got.

    Yea I just change and edit colors with Irfanview, I don't know anything about limiting them other then coloring some of them the same color because there's like 40 shades but only a 1 digit difference in shade
