The period of the Amiga is my favorite, some much great independant creators and some games deserve to be more enlightened.
2 gun shooters tonight, the first one is Ruff'n'Tumble (1994):
Assassin (classic 1992) is more like a Strider game and Special Edition (1994) more like a Turrican. I let you discover this 2 different versions:
(I'd like to set a character that can climb walls and ceilings like Assassin :p).

I still play Final Fight on my PC, I downloaded ZSNES emulator on my PC and now I can play it anytime I want. I also downloaded some ROM for other games like Street Fighter and Mortal Kombat games. Playing these games brings back memories from my childhood. Me and my cousins used to play these games on our Family Computer and Play Station.

Donald McDonald : You've got some good Street Fighter mugen games like Special Ops made by Brazil Mugen Team:

You've got some good fangames for Mortal Kombat too, either in Openbor or Mugen ;).

Maybye one day, I'll make a game like this: Xain'd Sleena / Solar Warrior is a game release in 1986 by Technos where you alternate shoot em'up with run and gun phases in a solar system.

kimono  I think Donald Mc Donald is a Bot, seen a few Bots here recently, They are getting smarter and harder to tell the difference.

One of the first games I ever played was The Last Ninja on the C64 way back in the 1980's, It was one of my first solid memories of gaming too, I must of been around 6 years old, I was absolutely mesmerised by it. still am in some ways. I'd love to remake it.

Donald McDonald : I'm glad that you are not a bot  :P!

danno: It's not the first that a Last Ninja trilogy remake is asked. As far as I'm concerned, I think the isometric moves and fights can be awkward unless you can move in 8 directions.
You've got all the c64 maps here:
Last Ninja:

Last Ninja 3 (Amiga)

The c64 intro of Last Ninja 3:

Myth is another System 3 game released in 1992. You fight against mythical creatures, a sort of God of War before they created it :).
I like some passages like cutting the Medusa head and use it as a shooting weapon, or why not finishing the game as a meditating shoot em up (?), see at 33:10 :

The Second Samurai on the Amiga
This was another game I never completed but always wanted to, maybe I'll emulate it and give it another try  :D

The Second Samurai was released in Genesis in 1994, I think it's the easiest way to play nowadays :). One hidden message that makes me smile is this one in Conquest of the Longbow:

Still a good adventure game to play tough :).

I know Master System wasn't a hit in US, but you guys should try the SMS version of California Games. Its the best version - beating even the Mega Drive version.
Here is a gameplay I've made months ago

Basically all the Zeldas except Link to the Past which I think isn’t that great. Super Nintendo anything. The N64 stuff hasn't aged well graphics wise but the games are usually good. Past that anything except ps1 can be played and not feel strange at all. Halo CE is a great example of a game that holds up till today. FF7 is one of those games you must play at some point. The older Elder Scrolls games are surprisingly fun too. Morrowind would be better than Skyrim if the controls weren't so wonky. And of course there isn't a truly bad main series Mario. I would recommend some of the metroidvainia stuff as well. Its huge in the the indie sector.

Time crisis 1&2, Virtua cop 1&2, virtua fighter series, doom 1&2&final, cps1&cps2 games, neogeo games, psikyo shooting games, and 1980s&1990s arcade games.
But getting them legally is very hard for me. :'(

O Ilusionista: I plan to make an alternative route in SOR, California Games like. I will show that concept soon.
You can get some Psikyo shoot em up in Nintendo Switch legally ;)
Another cool Amiga game is Sleepwalker where a dog tries to save a young boy who is asleep:

Fireforce is the kind of game that I'd love to convert to Openbor: it includes a good selection of weaponry, helicopters, hostages to rescue, terrorists to kill, and a virtual career path with retirement (or death) at the end:

Man the Pokémon game series are perhaps the best ones & still have great replay value. I'm talkin about titles like fire red, leaf green, platinum & emerald etc.

Xybots is an impressive dungeon crawling and third-person shooter made by Atari Games:

Musashi no Ken - Tadaima Shugyou Chuu on Nes (1986) really has a simple and effective gameplay. This game remains an example of playability, the waves of enemies follow each other quite easily.
The game is divided into 2 parts: an adventure mode and a tournament mode:

@O Ilusionista : It's a good thing that in 3 years you still haven't changed your mind about California Games (look at some posts above :) )

Hikari no Senshi Photon: The Ultimate Game on Planet Earth on NES is a sort of third person shooter where the soldier must navigate inside a dungeon:
