Also known as Hyper Final Fight 3 - The Peace Keepers, this fan sequel by Shin Kazahara combines the whole cast from the orginal Final Fight series and puts you in control. Are you ready for another Metro City brawl?
A descent FF fan game. It's not great, but definitely not trash either.
What I liked:
1. I like the almost silent players during their normal attacks. It's a small thing, but for me hearing the same sound effect voice on every normal attack gets old really fast. With that being said, Haggar's voice effect is terrible though.
2. Simplicity of pick up and play. Yes, we want simple games as much the more complicated ones.
What I didn't like, or could be improved:
1. The most obvious: grappling is terrible, on all players.
2. As the levels progress, the screen gets swarmed by enemies moving also way too fast. This seems that increases the game's difficulty, but it backlashes making it look amateurish and cheap. It's an easy fix to make the game descent and enjoyable.
I’ll try not to get too wordy with this one. At its core Hyper Final Fight 3 is a BOR reskin, with all the typical issues of bad offsets, clashing sprite art, and poor game design. There’s also the absolute deal breaker of no real grappling other than the native (and horrible looking) sling throw.
It’s not the worst fan game out there, but if you’re looking for a Final Fight fix, I recommend you skip this one and try out something from Mr. Q, Pierwolf, or Machok instead.
