Deathwish Enforcers Special Edition

This run & gun has just been released on Steam. All I can say is devs know how to make a fun trailer (tons of pop-culture/game references).

Maybe if you like classic arcade Konami games like Sunset Riders or Mystic Warriors.

I started playing this last night because sunset riders is one of my favourite games of all time, I wanted to show a play through but there's too much adult material, I really like this game, super fun to play.

By the way, @mersox has an original game on the same style on sale at Steam

Before posting about Deathwish Enforcers, I had Balacera Brothers in the corner of my mind! ^^
I even checked the game again to refresh my memory.

Balacera Brothers is a faster-paced experience than Deathwish Enforcers.
It's also a Contra-like which differs from Sunset Rider. That's why I didn't talk about it on post 1.

Balacera Brothers is a refined experience. Despite being colorful it avoids any kind of visual pollution. "Visual pollution" aka "my worst enemy in modern games" :p.
Quite frankly I don't know many games which do that. Bless mersox.

Thank you guys for the kind words, and apologies for not participating more often. Most of the time I feel I don't have much to contribute.

I haven't tried Deathwish Enforcers yet, but I looks right up my alley. It reflects Sunset Riders better than Balacera did, which was one of my wishes when I was developing that one. Fun fact:, before settling on a ska theme for Balacera, I originally envisioned it as something closer to this new game, in which players control cartoon versions of Dirty Harry (same character for both players with different paletted suits) in a 70's setting. I didn't think of including other icons from the era, though. Just Clint.

You're always welcome @mersox. Leave some feedback here and there on other stuff, or just shoot the breeze about whatever. :)

@mersox
Brevity’ is the soul of wit.... and balacera brothers was probably a part of the inspiration for this new game too

anyway, as far as lethal enforcers being a true spiritual successor to sunset riders, i personally find it even funnier

Years ago a friend and i wanted to make a 4 player sequel to sunset riders using the Perfect dark/Goldneye engine
Secret Agent Spy game mechanics

years pass and now we have a secret Agent Spy theme game using a
4 player Cowboys sidescroller mechanic

i hope i can buy it, and i really wish there was a way to install these games on an xbox 360...

You have a lot to contribute, buddy. For example, you were the first one to put OpenBOR made games at Steam - and good ones :)
