I think they are using AI to "cut the corner" in some points...

I remember saying in the other double dragon thread that I don't really know what double dragon actually IS as a game and this new version just further proves my point, now we've got all that visual pollution people love putting in games now, all that sparking and colour aura's and special effects....
 
So this one goes to 3D as well. I hope they do this well cause beating in 3D is waay different than in old semi 3D.
Though judging from the shots, looks like it's going to be like old beatm up but with 3D models.

Call me too old fashioned, but DD for me is attached to the original style. DD Advance is the most I can accept, since the graphics upgrade kinda kept it.

I'm not saying the other games fashioned around the title aren't good, but don't "feel" like DD to me.
 
hi guys!!!

I was watching the trailer for the game and from the beginning I didn't like the design that Billy and Jimmy used. I don't understand why they don't use the original DD Arcade clothing models. Changing their clothes and hair colors is something I hate as fans of the saga :mad:
Maybe the game is fun but as fans I like original things.

If I had the ability to create one in 3D I would do it with the original characters and in the PS1 fighting force style

 
Since this is only a 50 second trailer there is not a whole lot go off from but the 3d models look decent enough. Still this is coming out next year so hopefully we will see a full gameplay video to see what we are dealing with the game's control and combat mechanics.

Funny enough I just bought Double Dragon Gaiden on PS5 via physical so I might give it a go thru.
 
A demo of the new double Dragon game was showcased on a chinese game festival and...I am not impressed.

also, for a 3D version i would go with setting the game as a 80's period piece, and photorealism.









that said, the game would en up looking to be very similar to the warriors


So in order to avoid making somthing that we already have seen before, I would go with the aestetic of the Artist who drew this poster:

this would be like a wish come true of sorts, since games back then never matched the art style of the posters or flyers, making double dragon look this way troughout the whole adventure would be nice to see

I still like what I am seeing, I know the general consensus amongst most are that the game looks terrible etc, but I am hyped for it.
 
It's growing on me but they should of called it something else, Police Squad, Mega Smashers, Beat Battle Crew, Mayhem City, I dunno but c'mon guys we need new stuff please not another Double Dragon.
 
I get Marian as the "Damsel In Distress" (or simply dead) may not work anymore, but if you're gonna feature a lightning wielding ninja...at least give us Amon (nice Burnov redesign, btw).

I'm still waiting for 2 player video of this game. These trailers give impression of single player game but I'd be happy to be proven wrong.
