I've just disposed a new Gig on Fiverr offering character animation. (Please read the FAQ on the Fiverr's Gig page to get more details about the service)
Im offering a narrowed visual technique that fits into a workflow I use to create more in less time, which lowers the production cost.
I am an experienced 2D/3D animator, I've been animating stuff in nummerous techniques and softwares since 2003, and spent the last 4 years exploting the pixel art niche, but Im tired of hand-drawing stuff, and designed a robust worflow mixing my own methods and preferences optimally, and now Im trying to break the ice and gather some freelances.
What Im offering is a fixed technique: Pre Rendered Sprites. This is nothing more than a 3D model properly textured, illuminated, stylized, staged, rigged, animated and rendered in the resolution you want, also considering color palette management.
Even tho I can model and texture whatever, Im not quite offering such service as it breaks my schedule, also given the fact that my modelling/texturing techniques are a bit rusty and my methods arent super fast. So I leave that step open to the customer to bring the 3D model of their choice, then I step in and complete the pipeline: ..."illuminated, stylized, staged, rigged, animated and rendered"...
3D Character modeling could not be that cheap, and here's a tip, there are quite a few 3D model libraries you can search through and find some good characters, but you must read and pay attention to the attributions agreement and consider it tightly.
In any case, this is not only for MUGEN characters, and can seamlesly apply for openBor projects.
