One of the most oft heard requests I get is "Why can't I edit my own uploads". The answer is simple - the only file managers available for SMF (the forum software) just didn't have that functionality. Recently, that changed. I found and have been working on installing and configuring a dedicated File Manager with far greater capability than the previous version, and I believe it's ready for your use.
You should now see a "Downloads" button in the top menu and I've redirected "The Vault" link to the new repository. This new system allows us to do all of the following:
Now the bad news. The import process did not catch every last file from our old system. I encourage you to look through the repository and if you see something missing let me know (or upload it yourself). I have backup copies of the old files just in case. You'll also want to check your posts and make sure any links lead to the new system, as the old one is removed.

- Search for downloads - I don't know about you, but I've never had useful results with the old systems search engine. The new one works great.
- List view. Instead of the weird table view we had before, the new system lays them out in a simple that you can sort by title, date, author, etc..
- See your own uploads instantly. Push the MyFiles button to see a full list of your uploads.
- Self approve. You don't need to wait for admin approval. Upload your project and its ready to go.
- Edit your uploads. Update descriptions, swap files, and delete. Please do not abuse this privilege - don't delete the last copy of your work.
- Leave comments. Downloads allow comments and replies.
- Change ownership. Admins can change the owner of an upload. This means you or I can upload a module for someone, and then transfer ownership of the upload to them. I've already transferred all uploads I made to the respective original authors who have a community account.
