Posting the same thing on only two threads is not enough. Please open 5-6 more threads to post the exact same thing. Then even better, you can also create downloadable wallpapers with your posts for everyone, so wecan have them on ur face all the time.
 
Sorry, i could not decide, one thread is very old & it's in the finished modules section but it seemed to be collecting info about the different versions,
but it also seemed relevant to his one , since i'm trying to do what others modders discuss there (collect all different version's things into one mod).

I can erase the post for either one, no big deal.

Looks good. You will be doing that manually for each sprite as the skin tone would be same in both arms. I did not sprite Ash simply code him from my Evil dead fan game, then resized sprites width and height to suit Nightslahers and then made it fit for purpose to be used in Nightslashers (as I was planning to make a sequel to my Evil dead game using original Nightslashers as a base, but then Oldyz was keen to use Ash fro this enhanced version of Nightslashers)
Sweet as. Did some research, the sprites seem to come from m.u.g.e.n or something. I have edited over 200 of the sprites so far haha

Thanks man, as soon as you have them i will add them to the game, i am about to give up on character making (hit-boxes & stuff) i don't like how HOng HUa is coming up, so i think im going to start working on Ash's Ending instead.

That said, could you try and give Ash more highlights & mid-shadows?
this can be done by using the dodge / burn tool in photoshop or GIMP, basically if you use this tool , say in the middle of Ash's leg (make sure to select the whole sprite first, to make it draw inside the lines) it will create a highlights that can be subtle, & it will add more "volume" to him.

BY modifying some keyframes, , i think you can re-color most of Ash's frames with less effort
 
Yeah, Ash would need a lot of dodge-burn to fit in. Also, please don’t give up on Hong Hua! Even if she does end up a mess, I’d still play her.

Hi! I added MP bar and changed some system a little bit from Oldyz's wonderful Night slashers X.
Now when using super special arts, it consumes MP instead of life so it could help to fight enemies (usually you don't have a chance to use it because it drains life a lot).
But if MP is depleted, then life will be used as same as original one.
Also I'm trying to make it hard to defeat enemies, like arcade version. So now some enemies (bosses and other monsters, except zombie) are more aggressive and stronger than before.
If Oldyz allows me, I'll keep this work.

Just for the history, this is BonusJZ's wonderful Night slashers X game. So Oldyz does not have to allow you anything since he is not the right person to ask for permission. I mean, still it's nice of you to ask but my point is that BonusJZ is the actual creator of this game.

Well, personally i think the game is very easy & for some reason the bosses got easier with the wide-screen, except for one.
So any changes to make it more difficult are welcome

If its not much trouble, & to avoid spoiling anything for other people, Please let me know in a private message the following:
did you beat the game completeley?
did you use headphones?
did you play withe other 3 people?

Regarding the changes , i send you a PM & i will let you know the concerns that may arise from them...

Well, yes - he DOES NOT have to ask my permission, & yes it is very dependant on Bonus JZ's work
However: to any of you who have played & beaten the game - it is a different Game, the change was not just a wide-screen & Bonus's original "vision" of the game is still 90 to 95% there.

in the future, the game will be so different that The BonusJZ "path" is just a portion of the whole

Have you think to add the new character from the Russian fork ?
Because it's the real 4 chars in arcade game, and with Ash it give us 5 characters to play ;)

Regarding the Russian character:
he is way too powerful & needs to be rezised,  i attempted to add him just like i did with Ash , but it still crashes the mod, so it seems that there is elements that are unaccounted for...

this next part is going to be crazy: the Russian character is so powerful that he seems like "fusion" of Chris & Hong Hua.

SO much so that i would like to make him  a "fusion Dance" character.
Not only that, "fusion" characters would only be available in multiplayer mode (more than one player), & they are controlled by 2 people simultaneously (one player controls the movements, the other controls punches, kicks, specials)
that way, the power issue sort of balances out
(you have a very powerful character that exists temporarily, but it takes 2 master players to use properly)

-making a sprites for wagon
-rebalancing player characters
-modifying PC's some special moves and making it consume MP
-fixing apprearing random food before fighting boss

Just to be clear, i did not mean to offend you or something and it's also not like i'm ignoring your work/additions to the game either. Sure, what you did so far is a respectful work too, but you can't compare this to the years of work the original author did in order to create this game from 0. Like imagine the whole sprite/sounds/musics/backgrounds ripping and then the whole codding too to put all these things together and be a game.

And yes, maybe in the far future you will have change the game to the point where it will be a completly new/different game. But right now, this is not just the 95% of the original author's "vision", but its the 95% of the original author's "Game" still instead. This is just a fact man.

Ps: Don't take this as a personal attack or something, it's not about that. It's just that since i have made a few games by myself, i feel like some things must be clear and the people should know who does/did what.

Sprites for Wagon? you mean complete the wagon's front part?
there is a "bug" with it, if you try to get close to it & stay in that position it will never show on-screen, it attacks from a distance always.

i intentionally kept it the wagon sprite as it was because i was never happy with the front parts that i attempted to complete.
A better version of the wagon is one that can go from right to the very middle of the screen to Ram you

Pal-8 sprites? i just edit as RGB & then convert to indexed using GIMP & then export .png

Don't forget to add a running character version for the new character...

A new character has less sprites than other characters so I made her as powerful concept

Also I have some problem on my schedule, it's hard to keep continuing work now.
