To celebrate National Power Rangers Day, we're revealing one of our projects: Mighty Morphin Power Rangers - It's Morphing Time!


It's a project made by fans, for fans, free of charge.
Some information about the project:

- Good old beat in up style, with mechanics
- Local co-op up to 4 players.
- Fast paced action, like in classic Konami beat em up games
- Possibility to play with the human form and the Ranger form
- Simple special move inputs (directional + button)
- Unlock new characters as you progress through the story.
- Megazord battles? FOR SURE!

Looks absolutely awesome!
This project looks so promising! particularly with the extra value added to the gameplay itself!
I really LOVE the reference to many many fighting game characters moves here !! Looks so weel selected.

My only complain would be the overused MVC(etc...) style sound effects used in most Marvel/DC/etc Mugen characters. It screems loud "mugen, fangame etc."
(I'm not sure this sentence sounds ok or a bit bad, sorry for my average english)

There is certainly a way to give more "personnality" to the game with some more unique/less used sound effects.


Also, I liked the dynamism of this project... described as "Fast paced action" when so many game creators use this expression with their game being just average action with bad hitboxes or horrible frames of animation... HERE it's is fast and beautiful in action. I love it!!!

Thanks buddy. I know we already had an awesome PR game done by MersoX - which you should try if haven't tried it yet - but we wanted something more combo oriented and with a faster pace :)

I have some sounds to test it - I agree with you in 50% of that statement - some sounds are overused, but in some cases they fit perfectly.

Thanks buddy. I always liked fast paced games, like the original TMNT games. I tried to achieve that in AUBF and now in MMPR too :)

Yes !! Sure some sounds fits perfectly.
I would go for a combination of these capcom crossover sounds + some others as well.

Again, the final ingame feeling will be great!

For our game, we are going to bring several characters that appeared little (or did not appear) in the Power Rangers games, such as King Sphinx (wip)

The Leader. The OG. The First Red Ranger, Jason Lee Scott! Naturally, he was our first character. We took the SNES version and gave him an update. We wanted to really pay tribute to the series as best as possible, so we took his outfit from the Day of the Dumpster and used it for our game. He is ready to lead the rangers into battle to protect Angel Grove from Rita!

Here is our version of Zach Taylor, the master of hip hop kido. The SNES was cool but our Zack has style. Fans will immediately recognize this outfit from the series. With a new dance move set he will definitely be a fan favorite in our game.

And glad to see the "black face" stereotypical cliché have been fixed to something more realistic.
Japanese are still very late (even a bit now) with the representation of some stereotypes.

Racism, plain and simple. The old black face cliché.
To be honest, I know that is hard to draw black person - and we had consulted with some black friends to ensure it wasn't offensive. They gave us some advices about shapes and colors.

Every 90’s boy’s first crush, Kimberly Hart! The SNES version look was a very good one, so we did not want to deviate too much. Her gymnastics background will really shine in our game, making her one of the most unique characters in our game.

Affirmative! This is Billy! As you can see Billy had a complete overhaul! Merso X, who originally gave Billy an update for his PW game. We took that updated Billy and went beyond that, giving Billy classic clothes fans will recognize, along with an updated move set.
