Didn't know about the first one, but this doesn't look bad at all.

Oh wait, I DO remember this. It's the one where you turn into a ninja but for some stupid reason start packing an Uzi. Yeah, I know it's a homage to the original Shinobi power up, but that was the one glaring flaw in an otherwise perfect game even Sega knew to take out for the sequels.

I even recall giving feedback - I guess I'm the one they didn't listen to, lol. Why not a flaming shuriken, or a little spark, or even a bow... anything but a friggen Uzi. It just looks so ridiculous and almost single handedly ruins the whole aesthetic IMO.

I also hate they put a mask on him now - I always preferred the unmasked ninja look, but ehh, subjective. Everything else looks super cool though. They have definitely upped their pixel art skills.
