I just cleaned up the running animations. I can’t believe that Techimaru will be part of the Sailormoon guest characters! Also I noticed that he has the following animations:
•Run and jump kick
•Rolling
•Intro and win pose
•Monster form
•Other jump animations
If anyone can get the mame cheat code to work, I’m having a hard time ripping his intro animation because it’s covered by the the health bar. I rip the sprites from the background by going into the color pallet and removing the background one color at a time. Sometimes I’ll add four sprites once I’m familiar with the character to speed the process. This is how i ripped Pinocchio from Night Slasher. A member here ripped for the last few animations that I was unable to get.

I’ll also need a hurt icon edited…..

You can say that Tenchimaru will be dedicated to acting like a ā€œ Demon Slayerā€ character. Similar how @Bloodbane colored Jinrichi from Guardians to Naruto and Kakashi.

Have you tried ripping the intro gameplay? It starts at 0:36.


Edit: Sorry speed reading. I thought you meant the regular jump animation.

Hmmm... maybe you could find another shot with similar pose but with his body not covered, at least his upper right part.
 
I can see those arms are the most troublesome.

May be it's just a mirror image of him unsheathing his sword. If you could post all the animations so we can compare.
 
I'll skip those animations for now. A while back, a person here on the forum helped with missing the animations for Pinocchio of Night Slashers. One day someone will post those animations here. For now, here are Techimaru's run sprites. The next Sailormoon update will come shortly. This was actually done with the help of @Bloodbane in January of 2021. The Shrine stage and boss stage are here with a new boss is here.

Also, are there any arcade games that have stages based in Italy?

There's a stage in Castlevania Bloodlines but its at night and you're probably use just the background and have a floor from another game.

I think Castlevania Portrait Of Ruin or Order Of Ecclesia might have suitable backgrounds. Lots of European inspired towns and church scenery. You'll just have to find the right floor sprites and a little recoloring.

@Shinmrgrill Do you happen to have a road map for your project?

I'd love to see your project be finished before 2025. I'd like to move on to Mugen and Another Story for Openbor.

I've already converted Jamanen to arcade style but sadly she's not a Youma and your project only covers the first season.


So far I've made one frame for the leader of the DD Girls and I commissione Chamat to do Kyameran.

I couldn’t tell you when the project will be finish. Tenchimaru, Luna and Artemis helpers, Sailor Venus, and Sailor Pluto should be done by this year with the addition of the amusement park stage from Denjin Makai and @rgveda99 Add Droid of Calaveras to the stage. That space has a ton of animations……. Part of the charm is trying to animate it and look at other openbor games on adding light. As of right now I’m using Final Burn to rip the hard animations of Tenchimaru via shot factory. Found a great animation for his item grab! I work full time, so try to put sometime in Sailormoon Openbor. Just today i devoted 2 hours in ripping animations. Yesterday was thinking what my next edited stage will be…I found a Kentucky Fried Chicken sign 2d sprite from an arcade created by Sega. i have the receptionist and the scientist ripped. @Bloodbane was able to color the scientist. I’ll probably combine it with the amusement park stage. Eventually I’ll need to add a story; Something along of Jinrei and Sailor Pluto time travel to the late 90’s to stop the end of the world. Maybe have the phone booth from Final Fight to imitate ā€œBill and Ted’s Excellent Adventure with the scientist. Ohh and @afhc2x17 , I’ve been studying ā€œMutant Fighter/Death Bradeā€ by Data East on the Roman stages. Great suggestion!

@rgveda99 , I'll give it some thought. I do see potential but I don't want Sengoku's 2 sprites because it looks different from Sailormoon. I'll put something together to see if you could edit Naur or Omiru further. Also, I was able to screen capture Tenchimaru's intro sprite. The Ice stage shakes so much that when you call an additional player the meter is removed due to the violent shaking of the screen.
