lol, why does Haggar always look like he's doing nasty things while grappling ?  ;D
Beside this, nice stuff. I just thought it was an OpenBOR module but it's a rom-hack... didn't try it as for 4 players I'd really suggest Vendetta or Crime Fighters (even if they have a slightly different gameplay).
Also those lifebars are taking 50% of screen (with the 3rd player's score above the time panel), but I guess it could be a pain for modders to resize them as I saw in some OpenBOR modules (with the lifebars above the players/enemies)...
Out of curiousity: how many mods/hacks/ports/clones of FF are around there? That would be interesting to know, just to take account of them.

Hm.. i think they are too many to count them, but for sure they are not as many as the "hi i'm just a graphic guy not a coder" guys who showing up here and think that they are doing the greatest thing in the world, while actually nobody is really giving a f**k about who or what they are/want.
And yeah, this is not a joke! You can ask anyone here, these guys are way more than all the FF mods from all game engines combined.

Agreed. There's a lot of Final Fight hacks/mods/games made in several game engines.

It's a surprise to see a 3-player co-op. At first, I thought it was an official re-release of Capcom's Final Fight game with some improvements, but then I realized it's a hack. LOL I took a look at the Final Fight SNES hack, in which the goal is to make a 2-player system and change stuff probably to resemble closely to the original Arcade version. Such as replacing Sid and Billy with Roxy and Poison. I'm very hyped for the 2-player hack of the SNES version 'cause it looks very ambitious.

  :o

To return to topic...  the name "30th Anniversary" made me actually think that it was a Capcom official release ( something like for PS4 or newer consoles, some official remake or revival, as the "Anniversary" thing is usually something that the original developers/publishers use most often).

I guess it's natural, a ton of SMB1 hacks have been made too (dozens if not hundreds)... some of them extremely funny, some others just pretty lame. Probably when a game becomes a legend, others try to emulate to show how much they loved it, that's why they replicate. Or just when they get bored of the authentic thing and instead of focusing on something else (another, totally different game, for example, or a re-invented tribute... etc.), they just copy-paste it (but with some... "innovations", of course  ;D).
