I am looking to join or start a mod group to make a mod picking up a story after SOR2, but between SOR3. I am looking to work as a team to develop the story. My main contribution to the team would be concept art and game art. Other positions needed would be coders etc.

I'm a huge SOR fan and hopefully you share the same passion to develop a fun project!

Interesting to see you don't aim SOR4 since so much games/mods/projects have this name. Nice choice IMO :D

But, I'm not sure people will run from nowhere to say :
"Hey guy! We will do your dream game, just like you want it!"

No offense, but you should learn a little the basics and start your project by yourself, then interested people will help you if you're stuck in some parts. ;)

I agree with Ned and nsw, you need to offer yourself better.
First, don't set story cause this will reject others who want to do SoR mod too but have different story
2nd, show what you can do. If you are good with arts, then show some of them :)

Ah speaking of art, can we see some of your work?

Hey guys,
sorry if it came off as if I'm wanting to my personal version of SOR 2.5. I was just kind of throwing and idea out there why I mentioned developing the story as a team. I'm really open to anything I would just like to be part of a mod development for SOR. SOR 2 just happened to be my favorite version is why I mentioned it.

As for some of my art work here are some sketches, the website where my online sketchbook is seems to be down at the moment www.conceptart.org :/

Hey, Anurizm, do you think about making a prequel to the trilogy? It can be your own first project, with your (i hope) own graphics. You will study the basics, how engine works, and i think then you will find a team. It is good that you have a passion, good luck!

Your work looks interesting. Im always willing to team with the talented. When I re-start my SOR project, you may be interested 8)

ive got a feeling theres gonna be another 3d type streets of rage mod  that would be awesome ii support you on this one

This is old but I have this and it explains a little about the SOR project I put on hold

Character designs have changed since this post due to my improvement in spriting and I no longer "need" a team to develop the game. I may leak one of the new character designs but i dont know... :-\

If you know what to do about your graphic style a good start can be to create 1 or 2 mock up/fake shots.

So people can visualize what your aiming for  :)

Ok, but know that this game is eons from being complete and I will post one image here and the rest in my own thread.

Here you go, my new Blaze Fielding design:

This is "HAND DRAWN SPRITING" vs " SPRITE EDITING"

Old Blaze design/Sprite edit:

The difference is VAST.

I aimed for a Japanese Anime look but I want 3D backgrounds like in alot of anime movies and shows. Well, that's my leak  ::)

Cool sprite! - I think she needs lighter skin thou for blaze.

Big boobs, big thighs, big heels and a miniskirt..... and she can still fight like this? - ( just kiddin' ;) )

Your sprites look good to me, just need the outlines tweaked and they will look professional.

Thanx for the tip, you should take a look at my sprite edits thread to see the rest. I used Chun Li's lightest skin tone for Blaze but some how with this greyscale method, it didnt come out as expected but to me, it didnt hurt it either. The link: http://www.chronocrash.com/forum/index.php?topic=923.msg17121#msg17121

Most of them still need clean ups though.

Cool, I didn't see the other post somehow, you've made heaps of new ones.

I actually like that skin tone, just OTOH she had lighter skin.

I can't really give tips/advice just call it as I see it. ;)  thou others around here can give you some pro tips on design for sure, if you don't mind some critical feedback.

I dont mind at all  ;D  Im always looking to improve. I was looking for my own sprite style and i think I've found it. They are  basically SF3 sized but they dont have the blues but the detail was what I was after and I got it
