A remake of the 1987 videogame of the same name, originally released for the C64 and Spectrum. The original is an unplayable mess, and I plan to correct that. Like with the Thundercats remake I made a while back, this is a much smaller project compared to the TMNT and Power Rangers games.

I may also add two levels based on the 1983 game The Power of He-man for the Intellivision, but I'll first concentrate on the Ilearth Stone elements and if I'm still motivated after that, I'll add those two extra levels.

I was going to add some screenshots of the original game for comparison but dealing with Photobucket is a royal pain in the ass at the moment so you'll have to excuse me.

This game I have been meaning to tackle for years, but I always visualized as a photorealistic looking game, with stop motion of the actual toys instead of traditional pixel art. I don't have all the required figures to pull it off so in the end I went with the look you see here. It's much easier especially regarding the backgrounds.

Oh, cool! So will you add something from the intellivision version? I had that cartridge until some years ago, I loved that game. I think the aerial stage could be amazing to add.

I have fond memories of that game as well. I was thinking having this order:

1. Wind Raider stage (Intellivision)
2. Ilearth Stone (should take around 10 mins to play through)
3. Avoid Skeletor's fireballs (haha) on the roof of Castle Grayskull (stage 2 of the Intellivision game)
4. Fight all Evil Warriors once again
5. Final fight against Skeletor

All in all it should be a short game, around 20 minutes to complete.
So far I have all the Grayskull rooms already in the game, all platforms programmed, but I still need to add doors to some of them.
Enemies have been sprited but not programmed yet.
Working on the HUD now.
