Canceled Tmnt and Battletoads

Project is halted prior to completion and will not receive further updates.
well, a little late for the answer. but i want to say it...

i played it yesterday. and i like many things, and dislike some too.

i think this game is old. so it have less sprites quality than today works, or have some engine limitations too. :P

but anyway, the idea was very good, and it was fun.
i completed the first mode and today i want to complete the second.

first at all, i must say that is too long for me. and repeatitive too. :P

pal, there should a way for do it less boring in that way...
maybe shorter stages, or fix some mistakes. like that some enemies attack you constantly with firearms, not leaving you the time to rise, because you dont have invulnerability/flickering time for move out their way.

apart, it looks the enemies I.A are very/too much agressive!... sending you to the ground almost constantly. and forcing you to use specials mostly of the time and causing you will not enjoying the game more, like it should be.

so this clearly affect the game playability.

finally, i saw the credits are only 5... only 5 for this very long and harder game? cant be!. man you should fix that.
i could ended it thanks that i could uncompress the game and enable the game cheats option for have infinite credits.

for end, is very cool can play as the battletoads. but adding some new and rare char from those games, as who knows? casey jones? or splinter, etc, it could add to your game a new "fresh air" adding something new and unexpected for the player, never seen before on the arcade or console versions of those 2 games.

and the best way for get new chars, could be take the ones from the tournament fighters versus games on snes and genesis consoles maybe.

anyway, i dont want you will see only the mistakes. thanks for the game. and is a good idea.

but i think that this game should be updated today, with a more modern openbor engine. for can have a better game, and also live a better game experience of it.

greetings ;)

I've been thinking about this project again lately, i've played it some time ago from what i remember it was pretty fun, an interesting crossover, and fun comicbook cutscenes, i liked how the events are seen from either point of view depending on the side you choose, and converging at times ;D
What i think is a good point tho, is that sometimes the repetitiveness can be due to too many, or randomly placed, enemies, it is possibly the stages may be too long and it could make a beat 'em up monotonous...what i found helps a lot with this in my opinion is a thought out level design, with not much "filler", and gameplay events (for example in a game i was playing, "final fight and cadillacs", you'd have, say, a car to break, then smashing through a fence, interactivity with objects like the jukebox, little things like that)
And a good moveset and variety of weapons, with different range reach, different power and ammo, anything that makes each weapon feel different from one another, that should keep things fresh, i feel.
Having said that, i mean no offense by this n.n, I really like it as it is tho, and had fun with it ;D it's just my 2 cents, suggestions and personal opinion is all.

PS: If you enter his blog, you'll notice his last post is from 2017, and mentions that he's been absent for some time due to personal problems and was not in conditions to continue creating, editting, basically any of the things he enjoys. He mentions he is returning slowly and in the meantime has been creating some openbor tutorials to teach beginners how to create their own mod.

This is likely why he hasn't been around much since mid-2016 and the last update we got of this mod was from 2015, understandably so.
I hope he is well and wish him good health! :)

@kmilloz I'm not sure why you posted a link to a bunch of dead downloads but please don't do it again, upload your games to the resource section here and link your discussion threads to said download.
