Select screen question!

Hello guys, the defaut way to choose a character in select screen is using right and left control imput, but i need to change it to select character using up an down control imput.
Any idea how make this? Is there some script to do this?

You'd need to create a custom selection screen with a script that allows free movement. It's a bit advanced and I wouldn't recommend it for beginners, but I believe there are tutorials for that in the proper section.

Definitely not recommend unless you have a good understanding of scripts. Its a shame as this is something any mod with a big character roster would want.

I've made custom scripted select screen before for Megaman Armada however it's not compatible with continue system yet.
That being said, as posted above, it wasn't an easy thing to create and you need good understand of scripting to create it.

If a character select screen grid is what you're asking for, you can try out Bloodbane's select screen demo he made, but making the select screen grid for free movement is very tricky. Like others said, you need to have a good understanding of how scripts work.

That sounds like VSelect, doesn't it?

VSelect is a mugen tool. If I can remember right, it was not a tool, but a change on how select screen would work.

I feel like making a modular select screen but i already have so much on my plate. Maybe I will do this in the future.
