Ok I decided to go all out with both running anim and targeting grab

It's Haggar slam master version by Capcom, @dixin2888 share it here a while ago (maybe on page 3)
Since dixin version has messy colors so I reworked it all night to fits what I wanted 😆

Thanks bro, this is a quick test how it looks in the game

It looks perfect!!
The only need is a sound for the steps... Perhaps not as heavy as the running fat enemies.
If you have no idea of sound, perhaps the equivalent sound from slam masters can be a good choice.
(If hard to find, perhaps it can be ripped from a Slammasters Mugen character)
 
Maybe Haggar needs some shadow between/for his feet while running. Otherwise, it would be okay without it.

Ned is this the one from Slammasters?
it's sounds more suitable than the one from pierwolf's ff gold, it just sounds like it's not on asphalt roads
original jump.wav also good but haggar sounds like wearing ninja boots 🤭

Not sure. I tested various Mugen Slam masters characters. But they had very different sounds from modern games.
This one sounds more classic. But I cannot confirm it's from the source game ^^

I carefully working many variety of ground-air combos at the moment, the gameplay will change slightly and must be adjusted otherwise it will be broken

I played a version of this and when I ran out of credits, I didn't go to the "Game Over" screen. Was that intentional?
 
Have you guys thought about changing Maki's boots to red instead of brown, because it is almost the same color as her skin, which makes it looks like she is bare footed.

To be honest, I never thought it looked like feets.
Capcom usually share skin colors with various parts for some characters such as hair, eyes, parts of clothes, usually leather or golden elements as well.
It looks ok the way it is because it's dark enough.
But the idea is funny :D

Only if Maki was color separated, that would be likely. Her footwear is the same color as her skin due to color limitation when Final Fight 2 was created. But what's really strange/funny is that I just found out the shot on Twitter showing her footwear (as well as a similar punch to Chun-Li's) and that was from the US magazine EGM #44.
