Appologies if i have posted this in the wrong area.
Im wanting to make a game that replicates the streets of rage game. We initially wanted to modify SORR 5.2. But ive found we just dont have the level of customisation available with that game. We want the user eperience to feel like a stand alone game not look and feel like just a mod.

The concept is basically SORR. But we want to change the 12 characters to Australian Rap musicians. Level layout and all game functionality can be the same as SOR.
We have all the concept artwork and 8bit sprites will be produced by an art team based in Phillipines. We will provide all the art and audio.
Customisation need -
Characters changed to ours
Sound fx and Music
Intro logo and scene
some stage art replacement
cut scenes added

Packaged into a format that will run on either EMUELEC, ANDROID APK or .EXE for pc

Any recomendations or guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Interesting. Seems like many bands / comics etc want their characters into a game :)
One advice :
"Prepare your money"

I don't know who will be available to take on such a BIG project, but it will take several months of full time work.

A good thing you managed to have teams of spriters working for you. ^^

Like just a heads up for anyone getting involved with this...lol

By the time he was twelve, Spanian knew that he would follow his family's footsteps to become a career criminal. That knowledge kickstarted a decade-long string of brazen crimes and brutality: Stabbings, ram-raids, drug runs and the notorious high school siege. Throughout the Sydney social housing enclaves of Redfern, Waterloo and Woolloomooloo, Spanian earned a reputation as one of the city's most flagrant crooks; armed with a boxcutter in one hand, and a syringe in the other.

But it all came at a damning price: In the throes of heroin dependency and thirteen years wasted behind bars, Spanian became a longstanding resident of jails across New South Wales. There, he was embroiled in racial divisions, prison politics and headed for self-annihilation, until music and books became an unlikely lifeline. Reading and rapping became new rituals, and a glistening light at the end of the tunnel.

Yeah he’s had a checkered past that’s for sure. But he’s doing a solid job now with flipping his image and giving back to the youth. He’s not everybody’s cup of tea. But he will make a solid character, plenty of Aussie humour sprinkled within the narrative. He’ll also help us bring a larger audience to the game. He does some big numbers. We’re not making Pokémon, it’s a beat em up with real life characters.

I live in Australia, do we even have twelve rap musicians here?
It’s quite a big industry.
You would be surprised at just how huge the fan base is. I produced a music video for a group called NME. It did 500k plays in a night and was trending on YouTube #3

Gone are the days it was just hilltop hoods, bliss n eso. There’s a lot of Australian hiphop acts doing very big numbers. It’s not just beats and BBQ’s anymore.
