Automatic pixelart shading

Hi, I'm wondering if anyone use an automatic shader like Pix2Pix?:

This can me gain a lot of time. I've got for example this artwork and I wish to color it like it was a light on the upper left of the screen:

I'm sure that some graphic scripts already exist for this kind of task.

A more advanced version of this type of tool seems to have been used for this netflix movie:

have not had the time to investigate if there is anything like it in opensource tho...

This is excellent oldyz , I'm pretty sure that some programs like this one exists.
I tried with the free version of SpriteLamp but I don't have a good result with the free version (maybye I don't use it correctly) :

I will try to contact the author.

I just had a play around with spritelamp after seeing your post Kimono, it's really good for having a real time light source/light reference but you still have to do most of the work yourself,  If you're working on a single sprite it should cut time down though, I think with the pro version it'll shade how you want because it uses an algorithm depending on what you input. Good program

I contacted the author and waiting to his answer. Here is a wip of the artwork and I'm wondering if the software can make a better result:

I ran it through spritelamp, first I had too create base maps

I know they are not very good but I didn't have time to pixel shade 5 separate images

Then I was able to generate the light effects

It's definitely not an auto shader so I'm not sure its what you are looking for however if the base maps are done correctly you could get some beautiful sprites reacting to light. Its a great tool depending on how you wanna use it.

Thanks danno for the try, the blackened pixels that appear on the artwork are not that great. I will see if I'll use it later :).

I've had a play around with a few tools like this and I definitely think they are more suited to HI-RES projects, Laigter is pretty good as it saves pre-sets but I personally don't find auto shaders useful yet.
