The following three pictures are my own P, not very ideal, please help me draw her running action! Thank you!
The running action is cyclical, so it is OK if the 4 pictures run without any problem!πŸ™πŸ™πŸ™

Hi.
You should definitely watch references of what looks like a running animation in KOF games CVS games etc. then try to frankensprite limb by limb.

I have another idea is to perhaps use POTS/CVS type Tia (DW version) as a base for your run animation by editing the colors etc.
Tia Langray

I don't know if this is opensource nor if you know how to open it and get the sprite with fight factory but it may help you on your creation.

I also created a custom run for my character Rachel wose the base is Tia as well, but I edited the sprite style to something a bit different, and the color management is a freaking mess since I used a very messy Tia as a base for my work.

By using DW version if it's allowed, you would be sure not to have weird color mess like I had...

I honestly can't be of much help here because for running animations I always ask @NED for help 🀭 😘
but I have a one question, is it 4 frames are enough? I mean, to my knowledge for running animation usually have at least 6 frames

Having worked with many sprites, the running motion is at least 6 frames and at most 10 to 12 frames.

6 is the base, less than 6 would work for very small sprites 8bits console style or retro style.

So I took advice a long time ago and increased the Kisarah run motion from 4 to 6 frames. I don't know if it's natural, but it's clear that it's smoother than before even though it's increased by 2 frames. Suitable for 16-bit characters.

It seems natural and OK, because running is cyclic.

I was about to use Kisarah as a reference. Her AODK run is very limited, only 4 frames, and I created for 2 extra frames for Magggas in World Heroes Final Justice.
So in WHSJ she have 6 frames as well.

I was curious to compare the edits we did. and we added kind of similar frames at the right place where frames were needed...
UP is what I did long time ago. (used by Magggas but I created these frames around 2007-2008 ^^)
DOWN is DD Tokki's new Kisarah. (I think I would go for something like that if I did it today !)

I collected limbs from different movements, synthesized them, and modified them. I'm ashamed to see it now.:ROFLMAO:

No problem!
I when I watch it my version is worst πŸ˜…

This is not a problem to use existing limbs "frankensprite" can be a good way to work faster.

This is incredibly difficult. I'm not good at making dynamic running motions because I have no sense.
The clothes covered by the arms were drawn with reference to standing motion. I drew about 40% of it myself.
Man, this is really good.
Mine was kind of similar but with a more wide movement, I used CVS1 Chun li's run as an inspiration.
