It seems to be related to the file levels.txt. Pierwolf PMed me and told me to xplode the PAK file, but so far I've been unable to do that with the tools in the download section.
I've also tried several other builds to no avail. Perhaps someone with more knowledge of the matter can fix it and pack the PAK again?
Currently on Windows 7 Ultimate x64. All the other BORs run flawlessly.

is the dropbox up? i cant get it to work either, used both the exe included and my version, and it just closes OpenBOR.

Dude, this game crashes at startup. And i have the newest build and the one before it. Both crash when i double-click the openbor.exe file. What gives?

you can take it from my collection collection completed games that still rock. Includes many lost games.
in "Double Dragon Series" section. It's 2 versions in the archive, same game plus another version for 2 players 320x240 8)
Btw, in my collection games are cleaned from unused music files stuffed inside, and Double Dragon GOLD is 16 MB less because 3 music files not in use was removed.

@netspider1 - Just a heads up, if your looking for a good mirror I found this site recently...
At the moment at promptfile.com you can get 250gig and unlimited speeds, limited time promotion.

also MEGA has 50gb free accounts at the moment, if a few of us get these we can host more mirrors. People can actually import file links to their own drive and easily queue up tons of large downloads. Both of these sites also require no login/account to download.
Also all files can be neatly arranged in folders and have large sizes. If a few people want to help out we can probably create multiple mirrors that host complete collections/archives.

@BeasTie you are right there are many websites for host files you talking about, but they are unreliable and the files get deleted over the time. Besides open some crappy page asking for money or registration, opening adwares and malwares and all kind of shits with free download on slow speed... 
If you have noted my links are direct download links, not opening some craps, you download directly at fast speed, no expired links and b.s.. 8)
Also I have screenshots on every game. This pic have to be hosted also somewhere and be able to load in the page. My pics are on same ftp host along with the files and load in the page as external resource without problem. 8) I am not sure these web sites will allow me to host pics and load it as external resource for another website? ???
I use free ftp repository with 10MB file limit. And in case of deletion or problems I have ftp synchronizer and can point it to another ftp repository easily and upload immediately whole 15 GB collection. I mean its easy for support in case of problems dont cost any time and dont bother me to keep it alive. As you can see my collection resist on the time and is still available since years, in contrast with other uploaders here with 1+ year old topics are full with expired links... :
The only drawback is you have to download all game part files and unrar but I think is small price to pay for having whole collection alive with all games Some cool games in my collection cannot be found anywhere else, because I got them before lavalit to shutdown. Also I fixed almost 50% of the games from broken levels, crashing, stucking, stuffed unused music files etc. to be playable and be able to work on Openbor recent versions like 3979 or above, not only for PC but for Android and other devices too
