Download Issue

Hi All

I set a setting on the forum last night that might help with the downloading problems that we have been having  ???.

Please add a post here if your still getting problems with downloading larger games.  :-[

Thanks for postin', MatMan! ;D I always got problems with downloading mods and that made me quit downloading except some resources. Now I'm testing out how the download works!
 
OK. I downloaded one mod that is around 26 MB twice, and yet, it cancels download. :( I did reach to a half of a full download by watching the progress of download and it stopped. I know that 10-50MB mod doesn't sound large to me, but it's testing how to the download progression works or not on how many MB it is.

Unfortunately that's about all I can do(I have literally gone through every setting), the problem must lie outside the forum engine, possibly a setting on apache or what ever is being used. Sorry guys, I really thought it would help  :(.
 
I know you're trying you're best. I think mine must be the problem. I don't know for others' though. Now I want to know from some people's opinions regarding the download issue. I already got my opinion heard for download.

I can tell you which ones I tested on download and had them being stopped by itself:
- Various Game Updates (MatMan) = 11.9 MB / 26.5 MB
- Various Game Updates (MatMan) = 10.1 MB / 26.5 MB
- Namco X Capcom (Goliath) = 13.0 MB / 40.7 MB

I successfully downloaded mods a few times. (Most of the times, I fail from downloading mods completely. :()

EDIT: Hope the download gets fixed and solved, bro.

We are on Bluehost, and silly as it sounds I don't know which engine they use. I'll have to get in there and jack around with the settings some to see what I can find.

It's not just downloads, there's a general connectivity problem, some days the website won't load at all, like it doesn't exist anymore.  Or while posting it gets incredible slow downs and can't even load a page anymore.  Downloads are most affected because any interruption means restarting.
 
I looked for a resumable option but there ain't. Its usually set by the server though.
 
BTW, there is a lot of very old mods and demos being mixed in with the latest mods now. 
Maybe we should have a 'Hall of Fame' or something for more complete mods that showcase openbor. 
One list for old stuff and one for recent creations.

- Eternal Champions
- Rocket Viper2
etc.

older mods
- CrimeBusters
- Golden Axe remake
- Jennifer
- Some of MrQ's mods

Just an idea, not suggesting we start making best/worst mods lists.  Just a place to easily find the latest and greatest mods.

It would also be good to have an automated 'Recently Uploaded' file list on the front page.
 
Or how about using the date or year that a demo or completed one being made or released? Can be old or now.

Example:
- World Heroes: Supreme Justice Extra (2013)
- A Tale of Vengeance (2008)
- Art of Fighting (2009)
 
Yea I thought it was my browser and my laptop but I'm seriously Having a problem with the downloads. I've tried Downloading Jennifer 6 times and same resaults.
 
Same here.
I tested with my friend's internet conection too. The problem is the same.
I cannot DL even a small demo, now... :-\
 
Weird I've had problems before too, but I just downloaded this one earlier, at record speed.
