I also think that players should be able to escape from a boss throw, in order to get back in the fight a lot faster.

I tested the game and the visuals are beautiful. the game plays well but, unfortunately for me ( my opinion, off course) I had to give up.
The game suffers the same problem a lot of wonderful games suffer here.
The game is unnecessarily difficult.
First boss and I have lost all my lives. I was surrounded and no flying kick can save me from any enemy. Even freespecials can't save me.
I play beat'em ups for decades. I'm not a pro neither a noob. I finished SOR and FF games many times in higher difficulties.
Congratulations for your game. Very good and colorful visuals. I loved the edits made to the enemies ( blackpower hair guy is the best ;)).
Unfortunately  I have to give up. The game is a little to much hard for me.

OK.

I'm taking note of all feedbacks and try to use it for an update version of the game fixing problema and adding new contenta.
 
I really like watch videos with reactions about games, this helps a lot to fix and turn the game better.This video makes me think about how messy is the manual "how to play" of the game and try to balance the difficulty along the game.
Thats a funny gameplay made by a dude who, believe or not, never heard about "Final Fight" until play my game.

I know right hahahaha . Looking forward to whatever updates are to come. I was planning on doing another playthrough of this awesome game very soon :D , I just need to try to not suck as either cody or giefy (Im boss with Guy)  ;D

Yes its strange.
He played a lot Streets of Rage and recognize Street Fighter character but never played Final Fighter.You may see his explanation about this on time 1:40 of the video.

New cool stuff are coming soon, I hope...
Meanwhile you could download the last version, it has some improvements to the gameplay and more character to play on Arcade Mode.(Maki, Poison, R.Mika, Chun Li and E.Honda).

You mastered the Zangief's skills very welll!

Just a hint: Some characters may execute special moves and the hypermove while grabbing a enemy.
 
I really like the characters of Gongli and Meili in your game. Did you make the spriter yourself? :)

These characters are edited on "Athletic Chun Li" a mugen character back in years that was already an edit of SFZ Chun Li.

Sorry for the delay in my response.
How nedflandeurse explained about Gongli and Meili are based on an old character project for Mugen started by Falchion22 years ago.He quitted the project but gave permission to people use his sprites then I took it and created  by myself new ones like running, flyingkicks and special moves animations.

I cannot see your previews, but with my point of view of these types of sprites, I would say.
I make some kind of TOP list

Martial Masters is right (but have to be x-scalled)

Marvel is OK but would clash in character "theme"

CVS would be kind of OK I think

Darkstalkers is kind of old looking I think

I don't recommand using SF3 or Last Blade.
SF3 would require reducing the number of colors and some scalling.

Made an account just to say- I've looked everywhere, and I simply can't get this one to work for my PSP! I so badly want to play this game! (the enemies look great, I love the street fighter characters, and I love a fully fleshed out movelist for Poison in a side scrolling final fight style beat em up!)

Any idea why I can only hear the audio of the game, but can't see anything?

I've tried moving all the files, when just transferring the pak didn't work. But this didn't help either...I know the other openbor games work just fine (such as Warduke) so idk what's the problem and I really badly want to play this game!


edit: no issues with PC version. It's when trying to put it on PSP that I have issues.

If i am correct it has to do with hardware PSP limitations.
So, in order to for the game to run, the dev should "chop off" lots off stuff. Its like transferring snes game to gameboy. Just a very simple example to understand my point.
 
Starting anupdate to the game adding new charcters, enemies, stages and other stuff.
For now Mike Haggar is 99% completed.

 
I'm really glad to see this project will be updated !
It's one of the few Openbor mods that gives you the feeling to actually "fight" The game feedback is really good.

Haggar is a great choice of course !
I can't wait to give it a try ! Also knowing some other characters can be added is a great thing !

Can I ask if you use a specific method to create your slams? Particularly the binding method.
Do you use a specific software?

Anyway, good luck with FF ROR  8)
