Hi,
I made a simulator for the handheld Gameking playing the game Terminator. There is no emulator yet.

Console has very low resolution. Retro pixel style.

Every pixel and sprite is hand drawn.
One level only and I have to correct many things. Level isn't that short, boss comes too early.
Sound files included, but doesn't work (How to convert 16 bit to 8 bit using Audacity? Also 22Khz doesn't work. Or are sound names reserved?)
Music volume should be set to 300.

Funny to play once but not my style  ::)
+ the retro char doesn't seem to hit baddie when grabbing, he can only throw it behind.
 
I haven't included all animations.

There is no grabbing in the original game. Also no jumping just kick jumping, no special moves etc.

I could easily fix bbox and attack. But I have problems with different offset heights, probably because my single frames have different heights (even if not jumping). So some errors and other problems like when I'm being grabbed I can't escape and always die.
And I don't want to redraw every frame of every sprites.

I still have problems with the palette in GIMP, so I use GIMP and Aseprite. But also that doesn't work like I want.
Colors and also animations don't have to be perfect.

Another problem is a niche in the background where you can walk into in the real game, an animiated door at the end, missing knife throwing and powerups etc.

I have changed the following and will upload another (final ?) version of level 1 (and 2 ?)

-original sound effects now working
-changed colors (on top current version, bottom left V1 without raster and still mixed with original BOR, then a good looking orange color but it's not like the real game, and a green color what is like the original LCD screen)
-fixed background and floor height
-level 1 /bg now full length
 
A new version. (Sound at low volume, so SFX 350, music 70). Size 5MB.

Level 1 + 2 complete. Level 2 is the short back alley boss level.
Boss animation and some enemies missing, also powerups.

I tried openborstats and correct many things but something is still wrong.
Game is quite difficult anyway when there are 3 or more enemies.
I fixed the grabbing issue I later had as there was a very long delay (bug from the first tool?)

I don't know if I should continue this mod. Some things will never be like on the original hardware
like inertia of LCD with glowing neighboring pixels (sprites would be possible but probably not the moving background)
and that sprites only use full pixels when walking.

I also haven't finished more than 2 (3 levels here) on the original game.
That level has the same gameplay just a different background.
