I was trying to make racing stage awhile ago but there is camera logic that prevents it from working accurately in 2 players mode, when player 1 is on far right and playuer 2 is on far left then no player will go offscreen, but when player1 is on very top and player 2 is on bottom then player 2 will go offscreen. Looks like subject_to_screen only cares about left/right position not about up/down which is understandable but it would be nice if this could be changed somehow.
Some screen from very rough test with ugly vehicles  ;D THey work fine and rotate/drive , i would like to also implement more realistic slowdown so car wont go to 0 velocity very sudden , i would like it to slow down more realistic cutting down on its velocity over time when no button is pressed until it reaches 0.

Well, there's a way with scripted camera but the question is what about the left behind player(s)? I don't like it when being left behind and can't see my character because the camera is focusing on the fastest character
 
it could be like in micro machines, player who touches opposite side of the screen and stays behind is exploded and player in front get points, then both restart from same place.

Download Spriter software and you can cut sprites into limbs then reattach them in this software to animate them with bones, it shouldnt be hard , you can do a lot of sprite animations in it really fast and you have good realtime preview, creating animations in photoshop or other drawing programes is more cumbersome , in spriter you cant draw but its just a matter of creating proper bodyparts, hands ,legs, knees, feet etc. and swap them in the middle of animation or rotate/scale them.
