Hi everyone, I hope this is the right place to post an introduction (please let me know if not and I'll post it in the appropriate place)!
I just wanted to say hello and introduce myself as I've been lurking for a little while whilst learning about the OpenBoR engine and collecting resources to start my own project. From everything I've seen so far, I've got to say that this place seems like one of the coolest, friendliest and most creative communities I've come across on the internet for a LONG while. It gives me the feeling that hobbyist forums 'back in the day' gave me, long before the internet got reduced into a series of anonymous subreddits and flame-filled facebook groups. I'm blown away by everyone's awesome projects and the creative and collaborative atmosphere fostered here, and I'd be honoured to become part of the community.
I'm still very new to this, but have already learnt quite a bit in a relatively short space of time thanks to the great resources and information shared here. I have a little bit of programming experience from back from when I used to mess about with code as a teenager so it's really exciting and refreshing to be working on software projects again, even though I never got much further than "hello world" and dumb command-line games back then lol
I like making/producing music, DJing and language learning, and I'm planning to combine these interests in my gaming and coding projects 8)
