In Progress Lost Critters

The project is currently under development.
Pretty cool and the name makes sense.
About the spot light, I had the same idea months ago but never included on my game. Its give a very nice touch :)
 
I was expecting Zombo to be in the video, but I don't mind so I can wait for the next updates to see him. ;D Anyway, excellent work on the lighting guide and the box pushing. I had an idea of pushing the box for a demo where you push it to let it drop on a platform for unlocking each door for exit.

Speaking of enemy, here's second enemy for Lost Critters:
Zombre

Unlike Zombo, Zombre is a static enemy which can shoot player from a distance
 
LOL Bloodbane, you made me look like I can't wait for it to be next because of just that quote. I do wait though. A good concept that is, sir.

I just played Lost Vikings (but not complete) and now I see how you're going at.
 
Okay, as promised, I've made video showing cracked blocks and zombies here:


You can see zombies in action here and also how Zombo can walk back n forth ontop of platform without dropping off and back n forth against walls and platforms (BTW the box and short walls are platforms)
Golem (rock like critter) can stomp on cracked blocks and can cause chain reaction ;)
Last but not least, I decided to script new HP system with 3 red dots (4 for Golem) above each critter :)

Now, off to continue making new levels :)
 
Here's another enemy:
Bazom

It's static enemy and it doesn't shoot. However it blocks pathway and requires Skull to kill this zombie ;)
BTW another level has been completed and it has many zombies in it  ;D
 
D*mn, I like this gameplay video, and the new features are great!

And most of all, I like to see some original stuff! Very refreashing! ;)

As for music, actually the music was for other mod but it was cancelled. In order not to have a silent video, I used the music in this mod

I want to ask how do you code your platforms in this particular project.
are they separated entities/obstacles?
Do you use a complete map then code falls/platforms on it of generate with some "tiles"?
Just curious about it.  :)

Yes, it's the easiest and simplest way. Since they are visible, I can see any misplaced platforms and move them

I did that for Contra mod cause background already has platforms on it. It was tedious but possible work, however I won't do that anymore. I prefer using visible platforms :)

First, more zombies :
Bocong:

Jumpscare from Lost Critters :D. Seriously, this zombie jumps around and can bite
Bocong is pun of Pocong, famous zombie from Indonesia

Bodag:

This zombie is combination of Bazom and Zombre which works as path blocker and also shooter

This will make it harder to kill ;)
