great sprite work, looks like jumped right off the page. probably more so than the whole roster. I don't know why because all the chars look great but something about this dark hawk looks snazzy, and I'm not even a fan of dark hawk.
maybe a future update for she hulk is to change her stance...I know the base is wonder woman...but I don't want to know...if you know what I mean...the exact same stance makes it hard not to notice
also Z I'm trying to find some sprites for alternative way for iceman to shoot "ice beam" instead of all chars shooting beams

im not fan also of part of roster, like shocker... winter soldier ... cable.... guardian, i added they because spriters did a nice job and asked for it, and darkhawk had that bonus ($$$).....

usually it is black, red/purple/blue only when he use it.
btw, there are several versions of DHawk at comics, this one are first one.

also you were thinking replacement helpers.
scarlet witch should be easy for vision...she in my opinion probably doesn't need to be a full char since she so powerful...maybe one or two sprites needed and she attack like prof x and strange.
you can use the same effects you already have in the game for character deaths, only make it effect enemies differently...
ex:
robots will short circuit like when you have jubes, winter soldier, etc attack...you already have that effect.
other enemies could freeze or burn or get "blinded"

Finally! The Witch has been sighted!
And just in time for Halloween!
I'd prefer her to be playable (or NPC at least), but that's a good compromise, I guess. Like warecus said, she's very powerful (and sometimes unreliable *cough* no more mutants *cough*), so it works.
So far, I'm counting 5 new characters: Iceman, Darkhawk, Scarlet Witch, Kitty Pride and Dazzler. Is Wonderman in? Any others so far? You mentioned Guardians of the Galaxy, but will that really happen?
I'd like to suggest another helper: Crystal, of the Inhumans, for Human Torch and Quicksilver (they both dated her at some point). She shoudn't be difficult to sprite, just a plain yellow uniform and a black "ribbon" on her red hair. Then again, not necessary, just something else that's not X-Men - I love them, it's the only comic I dare to follow, but this is Avengers Allliance and there's already a whole lot of X-Men.

she will be playable, but until there was easy to add her to be item NPC.
(and i will add cloak to too, his sprites and code to be npc item are already at MFA 2, i cant remember why i didnt added him)

Looks like you have alot lined up for your next update. Seems like your on pace for a Christmas release perhaps possibly coupled with a demo of another project you have been working on involving heroes and martial artists

just like beto said about black bolt he would definitely be a cool marvel icon one time use like pro x and strange. easy base...guardian...and just have him scream or whisper and all enemies fall to the ground and take damage like the hulk or jug's super attack

A lot of Helpers/NPCs there! It's just too bad your character can only use a few of them! Maybe have them appear as regular NPCs on some stages (like Speedball) or cutscenes, just so you can see most of them on a playthrough.
About Scarlet Witch, what does she do? Generic attack or like warecus suggested ("random" effect deppending on enemy, like burn, shock, mind control, stun...)? If you could add another one (highly doubt it, too exhausting to add ANOTHER custom pain anim for little gain), you could turn some enemies into medkits, or hp/mp spheres
(BTW, I feel those hp/mp spheres are too rare on later stages! Please add more! ;D )

Kitty and Banshee could use their classic costumes colors, instead of regular blue/yellow X-Men uniform. Just a pallete swap would work, I think... (bad and rushly done by yours trully, attached below).
