@Soichi Isurugi : I think you should start from scratch (or from an existing close project) and why not use the Solid Snake Mugen version which is quite good:
I stand corrected. Also that's... let's call it less than good. It would be interesting if a more ambitious creator took on the franchise. I can envision an overhead view that incorporates audio and line of sight stealth like the NES version, then switches to the traditional forced perspective brawler screen for encounters. Said fights would be extremely difficult (ex. overwhelming odds, guns kill you instantly, etc.) to encourage stealth, tactics, and item discovery like the original games over playing it as "Double Dragon with Snake".
