This is turning out fantastic, nice and smooth and well put together, wonderful work.
 
Congratulations! The graphics are briliant and I could be inspired by this way for my own mod!

Great reworked and revamped graphics!I remember , aside from your cancelled ninja turtles game, being really interested in this game when you first presented it, because it is one of my favorite beat 'em up games on the NES, and i think it's underrepresented or underrated.
It was the only beat 'em up on the NES system that had that Capcom feel to it and i loved it.
Also the level 2, "Riverside" song, is one of my favorite chiptunes on the nes :P
Also it was the only version of final fight i could have at home since it never launched for the only other 3 consoles i had (sega genesis, playstation & N64..MS-DOS/WINDOWS IBM PC either...not until the late 90s/early 00s when CPS-1 emulation became available.)

Cool graphics remake. I'm waiting for your Head Hunters gfx revised too, a project that has a great potential ;).
 
This is looking great!! Love what you are doing with all the re coloring and the gameplay!!

Since you are not limited by palette colors, why not make enemies like J have different hair colors and not having to match the hair with the clothes, since palette here is not an issue? So you could have variation of same color clothes (for example the blue and yellow variation) Js but one blonde and one orange hair, like in this illustration:
 
I’ve been looking at the footage and screenshots given so far, and I can say it’s more impressive than prior MFF projects, and Rebirth was already more than solid. I wonder if the level-up system from the original game is still present? I like some of the new details added to the stages, and... apparently there’s new ones like the China stage from FF2. I wonder how many stages are planned to appear, and if there are routes or not.

I also noticed one very popular enemy hasn’t been seen yet... does this mean that Lady Poison is... playable? (Again, Rebirth, which had by then been moved over to Unity, did this for her, which was very cool). I actually really want to see that happen, and the game’s style would make spriting her up new moves pretty easy. (I also concur on the 2 and 3 characters joining the fun.)

I also want to know if the bosses have become tougher, similar to SOR2X. It would probably make a boss run a funner exercise as long as they aren’t too brutally difficult.
 
The graphics improvement is impressive.
Not just coloring, not too much edit.
It just looks like a 16bits game.

I really like the result!
 
Yeah its looking good, quite a few guys including me wanted to remake this title in openbor, im glad theres someone working on it.
 
Hi, thank you very much for the compliments about our project. We are still working on the game, there is not much free time to talk about it somewhere on forums and that is why I really only come here once in a long time.

I will at least try to summarize the answers to the questions I remembered.

- As for color paletes and different color mixing (hair / clothes), I know that I can do it solidly different colors, but I try to keep the game to some color standards and not overpriced. I think everything has any rules and I trying to keep them.  :)

- About the new playable characters - of course, we are also planning something extra. But I'll still keep it to myself until its be completed. And afther that, we release it on our YouTube

- Yes, there will be different routes to choose from and if it turns out as I expect, then there will be different ways to complete the game.
(We have already created a preliminary map and plan. The routes will contain several levels from other Final Fight games.)

- As for bosses and enemy behavior. I'd like to make them stronger and harder than in the original Final Fight, but I have to admit I don't understand programming at all. I dare say I'm good at Pixel Art and RayN is an exceptional musician but anything about scripting is beyond our control. So if there is someone among you who will help us with some things, we will be happy (credit at the end of the game is a matter of course, with more big help, even a logo on the home screen of the game.)
