I have to really thanks the 80’s and 90’s for arcade games. Back in the days I would wonder what if Sailormoon were to fight in a different stage, or what if Cody from Final Figh teamed up with Maki I’m a new stage?
Mr.Q!
Or have SNK characters fight characters in a beatem up?
Even the music

makes a difference.
Well it’s time to continue adding to the shrine stage.
Definitely a very situation to mine, it started with "MUGEN", the idea of combining characters from all places and stages, it blew my mind (to give some perspective, at that time capcom vs snk wasn't even out, it was truly novel!)
And i had dreams of making some beat 'em up like that back in the late 90's, early 00's (before beats of rage came around), i remember using either "The Games Factory" (which was like a sequel to "klik 'n play ") or "Click & Create" / "Multimedia Fusion"...i forget which...either way, what i wanted the most when i was a kid and early teen was to make my own games, and beat 'em ups in particular, i never got anywhere, but i remember creating a sort of test demo scene with this software, with cammy from street fighter walking around the screen in 8-way direction...i also had made traditional pencil & paper artwork for a toxic crusaders beat 'em up, back then the scanner was a novelty to me and i thought it would be so cool to be able to draw the graphics of my own game without pixel art or digital art knowledge or experience (this was well before i got my first drawing tablet)
OpenBOR's been a mindblowing, game-changer engine in the fangame community and particularly for fans of beat 'em ups, which i was so pleasently surprised where waaay more than i'd have ever thought existed in modern times.
I started really getting into it after finding out about "Hyper Dragonball Z" back in 2018 and that rekindling my interest in mugen, then that led to the openbor community and it's been an incredible experience, reminded me of the very reason i love fanart and fanprojects so strongly..
Sorry i am rambling maybe n.n;; i don't know why i feel so chatty, i feel in this place i can talk about my common interest, and i don't get to talk to people much about the things i love, feel free to ignore this wall of text n.n;;;
ANYHOW--
Back on topic x'D good luck on implementing the shrine stage, i hope you can provide us a screenshot when it's in place ;D must be pretty cool looking.
Also which type of outfit and which character did you need spritework for?Just usagi in her regular clothing?Can you tell me more about what you'd need specifically?I've never done pixel art but i could try my hand at it. Also maybe someone reads it and decides to help you out with it aswell.
