No new updates.  Just alot of fires in California.
Hanging out at downtown Disney.
I did find a stage that looks classy.  It’s has an elegant entrance with columns white with a chandelier straight from the 80’s.  Haven’t ripped it yet.  Just took some screenshots from my iPhone.

Looking for a sprite artist to sprite an idle, talk and walk of Usagi in her normal clothes.

The fires were all over the news here too, it was so unreal to see the sky all red and foggy like that...i'm glad you are ok, stay safe.
Last year something similar happened in brazil's forest, which is a country next to mine (i'm in argentina).
Sometimes i get really discourage and depressed over everything that is happening and the current state of things...

I hope you can find an artist to continue your work on this great mod :) one of my favorites for sure, it's awesome that you decided to pick it up after all these years. The sailor moon arcade was awesome, to find a game of one of my favorite franchises and favorite genre and platform (arcade beat 'em up), and to top that off it having such good quality and gameplay, was really something else, i couldn't get enough of it ;D i had played the sega genesis sailor moon game back in the 90s but this was so much better. Back in the day when many licensed games were actually really good games on their own merit. It was a trend that may be a bit more unlikely to be repeated nowadays, so that's why i am so happy that fans such as yourself have taken it upon yourself to create a follow up :) best of luck, i know i don't comment much but i am always following this thread for sure

Nickokapo thanks for the kind words.
As a fan of Sailormoon,  I really just enjoy working on collaborations with Bloodbane.  He’s part of the reason why the game is fun. I just really enjoy placing the Sailor team in new adventures.  I can’t wait to continue with this project and have Sailor Jupiter released on the next update.  And if I don’t find someone to sprite a civilian out fit, that’s fine.  I’m glad I have a home that’s on fire in California.

I have to really thanks the 80’s and 90’s for arcade games.  Back in the days I would wonder what if Sailormoon were to fight in a different stage, or what if Cody from Final Figh teamed up with Maki I’m a new stage?Mr.Q!

Or have SNK characters fight characters in a beatem up?

Even the music 🎵 makes a difference.

Well it’s time to continue adding to the shrine stage.

Definitely wanna extend my thanks to Bloodbane for his involvement!!

Definitely a very situation to mine, it started with "MUGEN", the idea of combining characters from all places and stages, it blew my mind (to give some perspective, at that time capcom vs snk wasn't even out, it was truly novel!)

And i had dreams of making some beat 'em up like that back in the late 90's, early 00's (before beats of rage came around), i remember using either "The Games Factory" (which was like a sequel to  "klik 'n play ") or "Click & Create" / "Multimedia Fusion"...i forget which...either way, what i wanted the most when i was a kid and early teen was to make my own games, and beat 'em ups in particular, i never got anywhere, but i remember creating a sort of test demo scene with this software, with cammy from street fighter walking around the screen in 8-way direction...i also had made traditional pencil & paper artwork for a toxic crusaders beat 'em up, back then the scanner was a novelty to me and i thought it would be so cool to be able to draw the graphics of my own game without pixel art or digital art knowledge or experience (this was well before i got my first drawing tablet)

OpenBOR's been a mindblowing, game-changer engine in the fangame community and particularly for fans of beat 'em ups, which i was so pleasently surprised where waaay more than i'd have ever thought existed in modern times.
I started really getting into it after finding out about "Hyper Dragonball Z" back in 2018 and that rekindling my interest in mugen, then that led to the openbor community and it's been an incredible experience, reminded me of the very reason i love fanart and fanprojects so strongly..

Sorry i am rambling maybe n.n;; i don't know why i feel so chatty, i feel in this place i can talk about my common interest, and i don't get to talk to people much about the things i love, feel free to ignore this wall of text n.n;;;

ANYHOW--

Back on topic x'D good luck on implementing the shrine stage, i hope you can provide us a screenshot when it's in place ;D must be pretty cool looking.
Also which type of outfit and which character did you need spritework for?Just usagi in her regular clothing? Can you tell me more about what you'd need specifically?I've never done pixel art but i could try my hand at it. Also maybe someone reads it and decides to help you out with it aswell.

Nickokapo I started working on Nephrite, which was inspired by MultiV28-blond- sprite edit.  This is my first time doing this.  I'm very excited!
The Shrine stage is taking longer and will have surprises.  As for sprite art, It would be of the Sailor Soldiers in their civilian outfits.  I'll skip that for now.  If you want to help on Neprhite, that would be great.  It's frankespirting new moves.  Most of the other spirtes can be taken from Zoisite.

Pinocchio is almost done.  I'm adding the last 3 sprites and then I have to double check if all of the animation is accounted for.

Then I'll need to edit Naru from Sailormoon.

Just to give an update.  I have an idea for the moon palace.  Just need to create it.  After the shire stage is completed, the amusement park will be next.  It will be edited from Denjin Makai.  All hearses frames were successfully ripped thank to a bug in Mame 0.146.

Bloodbane coded this for Sailor Jupiter.

Sailor Jupiter looks like she's ready to rumble.
He's really doing a great job!

Getting closer to another update.  Again, the next release will have 2 characters:

Jinrei
Sailor Jupiter

I want to make sure all of the voice, music, intro, and ending is there.

The stage again, takes time because of edits.  Eventually will add the Sailormoon Arcade Stages, but for now, just creating a new world is great.
Since starting this project of January of this year, I'm really excited for this.

I’m glad the election is over!  Now I can concentrate on Sailormoon!
Does anyone know where to get PS 2 voice samples of Kakashi or Naruto?
