I’m just dusting off the Sailor moon files to see where I left off. Perhaps this year we can Sailor Venus as a playable character @ Afhc2x17, Jeremiah.cuff, Maxman, Nedflanderuse, Rgveda99, and Bloodbane. Still getting used to the pandemic. Sucks we have to wear mask.

Is Mr. Q still modding his Double Dragon? As for Sailormoon Arcade, I’m looking at this characters from Metamoqester (known in Japan as Oni: The Ninja Master). Thinking of adding a character and a boss; Specifically the first boss. But I have to finish organizing Sailor Venus.

In recently saw your the video review by Top Hat Gaming Man and it was great! I also saw @magggas review as well on Double Dragon reloaded. I’m glad that the world is seeing your mods.
Just started ripping a new guest character; Tenchimaru from Oni Ninja. I’m ripping the sprites needed for Sailormoon. I noticed by using both players, I can get the full entrance sprite by piecing them. I have a building stage in mind from 64th street. After that, The Sailormoon arcade stages will be added. The music will be from “Battle Toshiden 1-4.” I’ve realized all of the music from the arcade is slow and boring. Makes me want to take a nap during game play. The PSX version has great transmission music and a few fast pace music but over all its sleepy music.

Here's the first sprite of many. During my time off from Sailormoon, I also watched an anime called "Demon Slayers."
Demon Slayers is beautifully produced with excellent storytelling. Since Tenchimaru from Oni Ninja slays monsters, this will be similar to the anime.

If you can rip these gorgons and dryder that would be great. I'm planning on using these as base sprites for a Cardian and Youma.

If I'm not mistaken, someone has attempted to rip Queen Spider but it was incomplete. Jeremiah Cuff wasn't it? :rolleyes:

On other subject, Driders in Rise of Warduke was created by frankenspriting dark elf's body onto black spider sprite.

Do you have an animated GIF of its walking movement?

If it's more troublesome than its worth I might just use the sprites from Arachne from Castlevania Aria of Sorrow. The spider youma just looks dumb and I feel like making her a drider would improve it. Also I need reference as well for the kisenian flower's arachnid form.

Edit:
I'm surprised at how small she is. But she doesn't have like a full animation. More like moving parts for the legs.

You are correct Bloodbane, I did try to rip the spider queen boss from Dungeon Magic arcade for it's openbor remake. But I had to replace her with the man scorpion boss from the Rise of Warduke mod instead because there were so many littered objects on screen while I was using the sprite ripping cheats for that game on MAME and I was still learning how to create my project for the Openbor engine with yours and O'Illusionista's help at the time

Does Dungeon Magic have like a debug mode like Ghost Chaser in Mame?
The English rom of Dungeon Magic has a debug mode, but I think it had something to do with the isometric maps and backgrounds. But there are cheats to rip the sprites from that game. N from Mugenguild made a old thread with list of cheats used on MAME games, Light Bringer is one of them. Here's the website:

Yeah, pressing that F12 button on Mame is a pain in the butt. So far I’ve completed another sprite. Little by little I’ll get the animations. Ripping and cleaning the sprites is therapeutic. The Oni Ninja game shakes so much…. That parts sucks. I’ll leave the monsters alone for now. One sprite at a time. I’ll probably rip that stage 1 boss as well. At least on the continue screen, it doesn’t shake!

I agree, I was planning on using tenchimaru for my Dungeon Magic mod five years ago but I was preoccupied with my day job and other to do anything else with him including making his text file. But I did make his data folder and files though.

Oh wow. Do you mind sharing it. I can rip the missing sprites and concentrate on the boss monster.
