Problem with Gif

I don't think .png's don't cause a crash. Only if a file is in RGB mode (without going with Indexed Mode in GIMP, Photoshop, etc., that is) whether it is .png or .gif, then it will likely crash because it's not Indexed right. Is that wk1.png in Indexed Mode or RGB Mode? Could you open one photoshop program of yours you use and open that file to see whether if it's in Indexed or RGB? Would you mind showing the color palettes in the color table just for us to examine what you have there? Indexed ones: One for default palette and one for alternate palette.

*Timed out for me. I will continue to post it later.*

you don't need to use the BOR palette -  OpenBOR has full 256 colour palettes in 8bit mode, or you can run in 16/32bit mode and have individual palette for each set of sprites.

just save your image with it's original palette but make sure the pink background is the first entry on the sprite.  untick transparency, dithering etc.

my video.txt is in 16bit

this is inside my character sprites folder

palette data/chars/troll/wk1.png

remap  data/chars/troll/wk1.png  data/chars/troll/alter.png

WOOOOW IT WORKED THANK YOU SOO MUCH

Oclipper, watch out for a trap in the "save for web" function. For OpenBOR, althought SAVE AS and SAVE FOR WEB works at the same way, its better to use SAVE AS. I will explain why:

Save for Web is more optimized because it TAKE OFF the unneeded colors from the image. This works perfectly on images for using on the internet, because more colors on the palette = bigger files. Not THAT much, but well...

But this could be a damn trap for us, because if you have an image with less colors than the overall palette, SAVE FOR WEB will IGNORE the color spot on the palette (the color order) and will export ONLY the colors presented on the image, which defeats the propouse for us. Even if you load the palette (using the button at right), Photoshop (at least, in CS6 version) will IGNORE any color from that palette if it is not present on the image.

Really? I've never had this problem, and I have CS6, though I can't recall if I have used CS6 for any active OpenBOR work. I've certainly done plenty of OpenBOR work with CS5 and it does not have this problem. Only issue I ever have with Save For Web is that it's a pain to set up for batching compared to Save As, but the optimization is well worth it.

I am having this problem. I´m trying to change a gif of leonardo from TMNT-Lost in space, changing the color of the neck-band and the elbow-band to brown. The image is all messed up when i run the game.
What configurations on the gif i make to the gif to run correctly?

You must have altered the palette somehow after editing. Get Leo's palette then apply it in the edited gif

BTW are you editing single gif or the whole gifs Leo are using?
