Canceled rafhot Xmen arcade project

Project is halted prior to completion and will not receive further updates.
I like the stages, but I think you should work more on the game GUI. There is so much empty space, which makes it look bad :(

started to do the boring part of adjust the gui :P

almost done, just need update portraits and hit combo lines

Amazingly done. I like the portrait of the 80's Cyclops there. :) Also, you got nice rips of stages too.

wow, big portraits :)
just a tip: you need to match the entities shadow with stage shadow. Look at the top part, you will notice the angle is upward (while the entities are downward) and the shadow is less intense.

thanks people, i wanted this huge portraits to make it looks different from fantastic four project

yes i noticed that, those barrels are test assets, i will add some cars in this stage and drums with proper shadow

the hard part will be find portraits that match the original artwork the main characters uses to be used on the extra characters 76x76

She has a bunch of telepathic attacks.  When I made her I made her white queen version.  However she has a smart pal which allows you to play her Dark X-man and Astonishing X-men costumes.  Her diamond form should be easy use her other attacks and change the pal.  My update to her which will happen years from now will use different sprites and she will have all her forms but till then hahah :P

you already have finished the sprites?
let me code the most recent version sprites for my game?

now looking at the screen, I think the portraits consumes too much space. They distract the viewer attention too much.
I didn't think so... but now that you said it, I can't NOT see it again. :/

But well, the portraits are as big as the characters, so you may have a point...

This is quite a design challenge, balancing everything around the scale of your stage backgrounds to the hud and the size of portraits and life bars...

I agree with O the big blue bars take up almost half the screen if you were to combine them.  Maybe try to make them half the size then it wouldn't be so big and you can see more of the lovely stages you made for the game.

I was going to agree with portraits being too big but if they were removed, we might be seeing background cover isntead (the metal cover covering the screen)

I could vote but do you have multiple portraits to choose from?

enemy lifebars would be my first alternative, but maybe use that space for speech balloons? Adding dialogues and random quotes through out the level (though it would be very distracting, I'm sure) could use that space.
