just a tip: you need to match the entities shadow with stage shadow. Look at the top part, you will notice the angle is upward (while the entities are downward) and the shadow is less intense.

enemy lifebars would be my first alternative, but maybe use that space for speech balloons? Adding dialogues and random quotes through out the level (though it would be very distracting, I'm sure) could use that space.Bloodbane said:I was going to agree with portraits being too big but if they were removed, we might be seeing background cover isntead (the metal cover covering the screen)
