Is there a way or a tool to rapidly process lots of full color png images, each with DIFFERENT color palettes, to be put into openbor?

I suggest the Irfanview, you can convert all images at once to 256 color palettes. If I'm not wrong, this app creates individual palettes based on each image colors during the conversion.

additionally, you can use programs that can make half of your available ram work as a hard drive -
most batch applications that run as portable .exe's or similar get a big boost in speed when u run them inside a "ramdrive"
