Resident Evil movie collection

Hey guys,

So, unlike most people, I actually really like the 'Resident Evil' movies. I have no expierence from playing the games. The only one I've ever played was the first game on PS1. Perhaps that is the reason I can enjoy the movies: I don't know anything about the source material. I do know most of the characters from the first few games, so I also knew who they were in the movies. The only character that does not appear in any game is Alice (played by Milla Jovovich). At first, I didn't know what to think of Alice, but as the movies went on, I actually started to really like her.

Anyway, throughout the years, I gradually got every movie and started a 'Complete Collection' project. This is now the second film franchise where I collected every version of all movies. The first film franchise where I managed to get a complete collection of, is 'The Marine' (See topic here: http://www.chronocrash.com/forum/index.php?topic=4309.0 Scroll all the way to the bottom of that page to see the collection photo)

And here is the complete collection of the Resident Evil movies. This collection took me a lot less longer to complete. That's because all 6 movies and its versions actually got released here in the Netherlands. The only ones I had to import, were the two boxsets that you can see on the far left and far right of the photo. And unlike those Marine boxsets of mine, the boxsets of the Resident Evil movies are, in fact, official. There was no need for me to make custom boxsets for these movies.

A fine collection, if I say so myself ;) I know the movies are regarded as trash by most people, but that doesn't stop me from enjoying them :)
So, what do you think of this collection?

Are you missing the 3D blurays?

Blasphemy! (if you are)

i still have not watched the last one - i wanted to watch it w friends but things never lign up

The saving grace of these movies is that they do have some very good sequences here & there
but the one that really messed up was the one with zombies that pretty much where not zombies anymore

spoiler alert -
they seem to be the rotting type but they ride bikes & operate weapons without any clumsiness or stiffness

i recommend these -

I never knew there were more 3D versions. As far as I know, the only 3D version we got here in Holland is Afterlife, the fourth movie. But it's okay for me to not have the 3D versions of the movies because I dislike the 3D feature. I always watch Afterlife (or any other movie) without the 3D feature enabled.

Ah, I think you're referring to Retribution, the fifth movie. That's the one where the zombies can pretty much ride bikes and use weapons. I don't mind them using weapons and riding bikes. I still like the movie ;)

he he, my bad,

altho, afterlife is the debut of the phantom cameras in this franchise & i think it has some of the best 3d sequences i have ever seen

i don't know about the retribution one...
its the only thing i dislike about it, at least they could have made them to look more cyborg-like or something - the games still have that right in most regards, even tho i don't know anything about the game franchise beyond RE 2 - any sentient t-virus being is more like a mutant monsters....

still i like the franchise too, & i would not mind a reeboot that stick more to the Games.
