Hi! :)
When I first saw this game I was impressed by the amount of backstory and detail invested and I want to start this post with a big big big THANK YOU!
I really wanted to try the game but, alas, when I plug my PS3 controller the prompts are all over place. Even remapping with the help of the keyboard doesn't work since after assigning everything the buttons still act up and I can't even navigate the main menu. When I tried the 1.1 version, I also tested it with a PS4 and an Xbox360 (3rd party) controller, but to no avail.

Has anyone experienced this? Any hints? I'm on Windows 10 and I think this is the first time this happened.

you have to erase a configuration file in the  saves folder, that way you can remap the controller again.

map the buttons first, exit the program, start again  test buttons, exit
completely
start again
and map the directions (dpad) last, exit , & test.

if the ps4 controller does not work, but
if you find that the game works fine with the 360 controller , but prefer to use the PS4 controller, use X360CE to map your PS4 as 360 controller
(its kind of tricky, but once you figure it out its very effective)
 
Hello, I'm new to OpenBOR, this looks amazing.

My controls appear to be messed up. I'm playing local multiplayer with a friend, 2 Xbox 360 controllers.

I setup player 1's controls using the keyboard.

1) I exited the game and went back in, the controls were not saved. How do I make them save?

2) When both controllers are on, my controller is being seen as Player 2 inputs, and my friend's is seen as Player 1 inputs, when the light on the 360 controller shows otherwise, and in every other game we play, the light on the controller correctly corresponds to the player number.

Any way I can fix these issues?
 
This game is truly awesome.  Beyond words, you guys overdid yourselves on this one. Hands down one of the best I have played.
 
Hi, I need your help for a strange issue related to controller settings.
I correctly set up my xbox one controller with the previous version of the game. But today I deleted the old version and unzip the new one: i tried to configure again the PLAYER 1 control but it seems that even if I set up every control like in my previous game version, now the mappings aren't correctly detected: in particular, after mapping PLAYER 1 control, if I want to start the game, it is not possible because if I push UP or DOWN, the controler doesn't work correctly, it enter in the PLAYER 2 controls and so on... The joypad isn't correctly detected
It seems that in my pc there is a wrong mapping version file but I don't know where it is located... I tried to disabled the joypad and now both keyboard and joypad aren't detected! So I can't control the game in any way!

Please, can you help me?

EDIT: I solved the issue, i deleted the savestate folder and now I can create again the config file

Hi to everyone, sorry for the long absent. I haven't post here since the last year I think lol.

I just came to update the post with the new game version (1.3), which comes with more bugs fixed and a spanish voice acting that latin american players would love (thanks to DegelB 【Fandub】 for his great work).

About the controller issues I really didn't know how to solve it, I have two PCs in my home and two random joysticks, I tested the game in both PCs with both joysticks and the game config works fine for me. I was about to going mad x.x, so thanks for sharing the solution here :D .

The module does not boot using the latest version of OpenBOR or the version of OpenBor that comes with the archive.


EDIT: Welp. Looks like OpenBOR or my system will have some sort of "can't run it" bug after going through a few BORpaks without pause. A system restart was required, and even that didn't complete until I forced it (manual power off for the whole system then a cold boot).

@O Ilusionista And I just realeased the 1.5 version where I fixed more bug and nerf some enemies (like the succubus boss, which I never manage to beat her in a "no damage" fight xD).

I love when they discuss in the comments about who is the hardest character to play, some says Sheeba or Fran. I think Fran is the easiest because of his Soul Steal skill that makes him recover life (really useful at the Bloody Arena :p ). Now I'm working on a RPG game and giving some updates to NLF.

Is there a source for the 1.5 version but in english?. The one hosted here is in spanish, and I can't seem to be able to download from the website
 
is there an english version to download ? I can't tell what buttons to map because they are all in Spanish my old version is english should I just stick with that ?
