Hi Kratus and thank you for this update! The game crashes when I press select with no log message in the SOR2X 2.0 window version (full pack).
The idea with the bike moves is to be able to attack in 4 directions like this:

I will add some bike frames for SOR1 Blaze if you wish to integer her in a further update.

Thanks man! About the crash, at what moment the select button is crashing the game?
I suggest to delete saves folder, unfortunately. There are too much changes from the last version
 
The select function works in option menu for arcade lock but crashes in the stage select, SOR2 or SOR3 route with any character.
I tried to delete the save and got the same error. The concerned pack is Windows *.zip .

Strange, this is not happening to me, I pressed select many times but no crash. Are you using the openbor version 6330, the same that is the zip file?

You can delete SAVE (SOR2X.cfg) to check whether the game is normal, and strange problems may occur during the previous test. But the archive file before clearing is normal.
Now the extra menu is SOR2X_MENU.cfg

I did the same test, but no crash... Try to download the file again, maybe it's corrupted

I redownloaded the archive and it works like a charm. You are right, the downloaded file may be corrupted because of antivirus or another reason.
Sorry for the inconvenience, I now can test this new version quietly :).
 
Hi! I have started to play the game and I would like to know if there is a list of what the options of the extra menu mean, since about some I have no idea. Some options sound to me similar to SOR Remake, but others not.

And a more technical question. How do you can activate and deactivate the juggle system with the extras menu? I'm interested in the scripts for another game.

I am amazed at the graphic quality, the screen is huge!

There are some things:

In Sor 3 ending, can you get a good ending like in the original? i didnt tried to hit the robot before he throw the last missile that destroys the screen (that is how you get a good ending?)

Roo doesnt have air recovery.
Can you add for him his defensive special (or the offensive special) as an aerial special, plus juggles? because he didnt have aerial special or juggles.

The call feature is a bless. I love it, plus the AI in manual mode its like in 1.8 version (and previous), works really good. (thanks for returning to the v1.8 Cpu partner AI)

Can you add the chief tide up in a chair in the last floor of the bomb area before you open and enter the last door previous the boss fight of the stage?
I know that you unified the alternative routes of sor 3, so the chief will only be unleashed of his ropes (he will not die from the gas, being the alternative routes unified, that mechanic should not be applied)


Can you add the Sor 3 cutscenes after ending each stage? (With an option to skip them for people who doesnt care for reading the story again)

Your version of Sor 3 shiva is amazing, but there is one thing that i would change:

The new knee animation attack its good, but its applied in two situations:

1- when you grab an enemy and hit him without pressing foward (in this situation its ok)

2- When you grab an enemy and want to throw her/him to your behind (in this situation i dont like it)

As an animation to throw an enemy behind you, you can use his defensive special animation, like this:




Because not being able to throw an enemy to your behind, limits the character gameplaywise (in crowd control)
You can do the same for Sor 2 Shiva

This release feels very good in general, all the tweaks here and there  gameplaywise made the wait worth  :).

When i saw the Blaze Energy special (the 3 stars special) made me remember one of  the special attacks of Kensou in Kof 98:

Minute 8:57 to 9:00



Something like that would look cool for the 3 starts blaze special, an energy ball that contract and expands with fast speed, and in the last moment , a little impulse backwards caused by the energy itself (like in the video, but the impulse backwars of the body would be better like the one made by megaman X4 with the arms high, not so exaggerate like in the kensou special , but with energy staying in blaze hands like in the kensou special attack):

About the juggles, I have two ways to disable it using the function "changeentityproperty(self, "maxjugglepoints", 0)"

1 - For enemies, in "onspawn" event script
2 - For players, in "ondraw" script

Both methods will check a variable called "juggles" that is in the Extra Menu, checking if it is on or off, and will apply the correct action

For SOR2X, SOR3 route doesn't have a "good ending", because in SOR2X the main history is the SOR2 history. But I'm planning to add other ends, and can be a good idea in future updates

In SOR2X Roo is like a sub-boss, not a boss, that's why he doesn't have the full set of moves like bosses. But it's easy to turn he a boss, I will think about it

Some things have been removed from this stage due to this complex structure. The toxic gas, the doors, alarm and others make them a bit hard to program, and this is why I have not added some content of the original SOR3. I'm planning to add more features in this stage to connect with SOR1 route, I will consider your suggestion

Unfortunately both SOR1/2 don't have cutscenes, and this is why I did not add it from SOR3. I'm avoiding to use any SOR Remake content due to some terms that is in their readme.txt

About Shiva, I understand you but made him with original sprites, he doesn't have another grab move . However, I can create a new grab move for him in future updates

Adam is too slow for no reason (i think)
In fact Adam doesn't have a SOR2/3 versions to make comparison, but there's a reason to let him slow, he is a long range fighter that uses long kicks, projectiles, dashing and jumping moves that can hit enemies at long distances. Plus, he can fill energy stars faster than Axel, but all these features have a price, so your jump and speed were reduced.

In fact my inspiration for Blaze's rage is directly Chun Li's "Kikou-shou". But I like your idea and can be useful to use in SOR1/2 Blaze versions

Any version should be patchable i have instructions on how to do it but i highly recomend using build 6391.

About SOR 3 cutscenes, you can use the ones present in the original Bare knuckle 3, you dont have to use Sor remake content for that.

And Roo was a selectable character in Sor 3 , like shiva. Would be good to put juggles and safe landing to them, i used them more than Zan for example.

For Shiva you can use the Final crash as an aerial special for juggles (would look simmilar to blaze when she make juggles in the air), and with roo both special can be used.

About the new 2.0 version, I need to give credits to:

- pudu, for all tests and suggestions
- O Ilusionista and @pataboy, for sending some fantastic SOR3 Shiva sprites used in special moves
- O Ilusionista, for the original graphic effects idea. Thanks to your last gameplay, now it is fully implemented
- kimono, for sending great sprites used in bike stage. He made all attack moves and there's more to come in future updates
- msmalik681 for the fantastic Android compilation tutorial

The game was totally revised to make it more balanced, and now is fully prepared to receive SOR1 content.

Android users will have great news. Now the touch layout can be changed in Extra Menu, and the APK will fully install both OpenBOR and PAK files at the same time. The same goes for the new Windows installer too.

The fighting mechanic has been updated with new features. The new Cancel System is similar to KOF 2002 and Counter Attacks are more like SF Alpha series. Also, Wall Jumping was added in this version, similar to Guy in Final Fight and the Wall Bouncing is more like SOR4.

For those that don't like the high resolution graphic effects, now it can be changed to original mode at the Extra Menu. Also, there's a new option to show damage by each hit, like Ragnarok Online and other RPG games.

All CPU partners have better A.I. and can't go off screen anymore. Also, there's a new function in Extra Button, it's the "Call Partner" feature. Now your actions are more manageable with this button.

Here are all the changes:

- REBALLANCE: All characters had you attributes revised/changed to make him more balanced
- Now the game will be easier to install thanks to both Android APK and Windows installers
- New Characters added: Zan, Shiva (SOR3), Bongo (SOR3) and Electra (SOR2)
- New CPU Partners: Blaze, Max, Sammy, Adam and Zan
- New Extra Menu options: Graphic Effects, Show Damage, Item Drop, Cancel System, Wall Bouncing and Jumping, Touch Layout, Follow Caller
- Added new attack moves in "Bike Stage", removed bike collision, acceleration now is automatic, brake now will let enemies to passthrough
- Added new command in "Complete Screen", if hold any direction button, the counter will resume faster
- Added new "Bowling" feature in Adam and Barbon's kick, now will throw opponents against others
- Added new command for Dodge/Block usage by pressing "Attack+Special" buttons
- Added "Turbo Key" feature during select screen and level select menus, hold the directional buttons to change characters/levels faster
- Added "Jump Back" feature when players/partners are falling in the hole, now will reduce life instead of instantly kill
- Added "Safe Landing" feature for all playable enemies when hold "Up+Jump" keys
- Added little invincibility time after "Aerial Recovery" and "Rise Attack" moves
- Added little invincibility time after "Rise" move for all playable enemies
- Added "Drop All" feature when any player is respawned
- Added "Arrow" indication for CPU partner when respawn
- Added "Call Button" feature to call back the CPU partner
- Added a new palette for enemy "Break" character (Robot Axel)
- Added a "Frozen" feature during block-counter move to let the opponent vulnerable
- Added Blaze front+special while grabbing an opponent
- Added an automatic palette change code to all CPU partners
- Added "Restore Defaults" command in Extra Menu
- Added "Wall Jumping" feature for some characters: Blaze, Sammy, Roo, Shiva and Monalisa
- Added "Wall Bouncing" for all characters
- Changed "Toxic Gas" time in SOR3 route stage 6, now is the same for all difficulties
- Changed enemy's aggression, now will be a little more aggressive than before. Some players reported that sometimes the enemy will not attack, confirmed and changed
- Changed "Extra Menu" layout
- Changed Sammy's rage while holding a "Kunai" weapon
- Changed Harakiri's rage move
- Changed block-counter move from "hold" to "press" button at exact moment the block sample is played
- Increased recovery rate of "Special Cost by Hit", will be faster than before
- Increased hitboxe's height of all obstacles, now is more easy to destroy
- Increased Max's attack box during rage using "Pipe"
- Increased computers platform size in gas stage, the enemy was passing to the back part of the computers
- Revised all graphic effects, added original SOR effects as a new option
- Revised, removed, cleaned and organized a lot of scripts
- Revised all playable enemie's dodge and back attacks buttons, now are the same button as all heroes
- Fixed "Special" usage while grabbing an opponent that let him frozen
- Fixed some bugs during some stage's presentation
- Fixed some "Holes" bug when the character is falling at high speeds
- Fixed code that add lives at every 100k
- Fixed some after image bugs
- Fixed continue counter that renews even if the player is joining
- Fixed some route arrows bugs
- Reduced toxic gas damage from 40 to 10 at every second
- Reduced excessive usage of "Dodge" and "Jump Attacks" by some enemies
- Reduced weapons usage from 4 to 3 times
- Improved CPU partner A.I.
- Improved "Charge Attack" command when players held attack button
- Updated "Command List"
- Removed "Super Armor" feature during bike stage

I noticed enemies can still shoot you whenever there outside the screen, and sometimes they stay out of the screen for quite a bit so you can't see where they are coming from!!  But other than that fantastic work as usual bro, this mode was really quite difficult lol!!  Got my ass handed to me a few times but it's all good lol!!  As I noticed you weren't able to select a CPU partner in this mode as well!!

I just noticed you updated this game to 2.0!!  I'll give it a shot whenever I get the chance bro, thanks again for everything!! ;D
