Don't worry, I'm not feeling about you trying to take over my project. In fact I feel the opposite, I'm very honored to have your suggestions here :)

However, I will be happy if you could answer some curiosities I asked before (about the Jack second palette history for example, or the person who made the backgrounds of the SOR2), I will be very grateful.

I liked your SOR2 vision too much and it seems that we have different goals. For example, my game is some kind of SOR trilogy, including Master System/Game Gear versions too, and has an updated fighting mechanic using some new features from SOR4. On the other hand, your game is like an advanced SOR2 "director's cut" version using all unfinished content and better sprites.

So I had another idea. As a gratitude for your work (and for all Ancient Corp. members too) producing the original games, I can make an exclusive SOR2 version for you using all your thoughts, I will be only the programmer.

Some new ideas that eventually I may like (or new content, like sprites), I will add in my game, and other things you liked in my game I can add in your game. I think that in this way all SOR fans will have the opportunity to see everything that was unfinished directly from the original creator's mind, without interference, except if I encounter any engine limitation during the process.

What do you think about it?

In fact I'm a great fan of the Golden Axe franchise and if one day I make a OpenBOR version, certainly Kratos will be added

I hope that someday, someone makes a "Golden axe: revenge of death adler" openbor.

I want to play the revenge of death adler but the soundtrack is so generic that it makes difficult to swallow XD. i like a lot more the soundtrack of Golden Axe 2.

I even searched all over internet to find arrange versions of all the GA2 soundtrack:

But i dont have a way to add it to the game, so, an openbor version of Revenge of death adler would allow me to do that.

There is a "Golden axe: The curse of death adler" openbor, but it includes new stages that are from other games.

Seems kind of odd this intro uses these weird effects and older arts. Between yourself and Ariga it's possible to add newer art, no?
 
When playing Rebellion, I was able to slay every single goon in Barbon's arena before the fight proper. From there, Barbon had no backup the whole fight. I'm pretty sure you can add an endless supply of random mooks via script, to make sure bosses don't run out of goons. A background flash playing when you finish a boss with a Rage move would also be a neat touch. Enemies picking up food items should be available in the Extra Menu.
 
Here is a test about Bongo in the background. His transparency is 55% and his size is 75%.

Doing this sort of thing could be pretty neat to add more detail, but perhaps it could be even cooler if Ben attacked from the background, giving you more desire and incentive to defeat him when he appears.

The idea is to make him in the background as a teaser since his real first appearance as a an enemy is in the next mid-level. So I think a background attack could be more relevant in the next-mid level, inside the stadium.
 
Hello guys!

This MOD looks awesome and would love playing it with the gamepads(more than 1 player). Until now I haven't been able to successfully configure them working in game.
I have 2 DS4 configured in windows 10 with DS4Windows and 1 NGS through USB all working fine in windows control panel and with steam.

In game controller configuration I am able to configure two of the gamepads. However these never work in menus/player select/game. What can I do to solve this?

Appreciate your help.

Thanks buddy! I will do some adjustments in Barbon's arena. In addition there's a new option in the Extra Menu for the version 2.3 to turn on/off the enemies picking up food items, it's not connected to the mania difficulty anymore.

It's a good idea. I'm planning to add some animations in all backgrounds in future updates, I will save this idea in my list. Thanks buddy!

Thanks for the feedback. We are working to fix some issues related to the controllers, as soon we have news it will be posted here.
 
Now that enemies can have the food items turned on or off, maybe add an option for them to be able to target and break obstacles or not?

Something came to my mind.
SOR2X could include variation of custom enemies from the mon named SOR Zombies. It includes diffent gaming modes with interesting sprites edits depending on them.

-POP
-Zombies

The "problem" with this mod, is the enemies are "just" sprite edits, but overall keep the same type of attack. (ex : the big guys throwing flames)
But with a bit of creativity, they can be used with their existing cutom sprites to make different standards of enemies.

If I had more time and more skills, I would create some SOR clone with different heroes team and fighting these custom enemies.
It would give a SOR feeling in a very different game/universe.


I still think some of these enemies could be used in SOR2X (paricularly the custom punks and louts)

*sigh* character fighting style specific freespecials in this series are a no-no but gross factor/gore porn enemies are a thumbs up. *blech* I personally never liked those mods.

Me neither, dude! My advice is: stick with the original Streets of Rage trilogy. Don't mess with your game!
 
This game is amazing, I just wish it had the awesome, over the top moveset from SoR Zombies. Still hasnt been beaten in terms of movesets and replayability
