I don't think anyone from Japan knows this game outside from a fringe.

Aside from that, this mod is coming along nicely with all these options & features. But please no blood & gore. That was my biggest turn off from SORR & all the openbor SOR mods that followed suit. hell, with the newest BKVI mod, they had enemies, when you hit them with a sword, or certain knife attacks, literally use an animation where they melt into bones & gunk & I almost wanted to puke. Please stray away from that.

Sorry to chime in, but beat em ups are generally better with gore, as are 99% of movies, shows, comics, games, all sports. If ballerinas had to fight to the death after each dance they perform, people today would actually go to a ballet, at least until the last 3 people who still practice ballet kill each other and the art dies forever. I agree there is over the top ridiculous, but removing gore from games, especially ones that are focused on beating people up with fists and weapons is like a video game equivalency of Sarcastiball. To each his own though I guess, but if gore was on the agenda for this mod, then please stick to the plan. Or maybe do a poll.
 
Concerning the idea about combining Arcade and Rebellion, I feel like it might not work too well, given all that good art would go to waste, for example. Maybe have it in the Extra Menu for the "Core" and "Extended" rosters if you want to combine them?

About Zan and Adam, you can add them one on the left and one of the right, but the portrait of each will only show when you put the cursor on the character portrait, then it will dissapear again if you move to another portrait (like x-men vs street fighter akuma portrait, it only appears when you put the cursor on him.
So you can still had the X form of the character selection screen.

I hope I didn't created any drama with my suggestion of using 2 or 3 of the corrupted cops etc sprites in SOR2X

We are a small community, we should just help each others.

I dont think that is drama.
Kratus only said that anything that goes too far from classic Sor can be applied as a mod.

For example, im porting Sorr stages sprites to Sor 2x for the Sor 2 & 3 route (plus sprites of other mods). Kratus will not use them but i will as a mod. 

I asked him weeks ago that if would be possible to add a Mods menu like the Sormaker one, with a list of all the mods available. So when Sor 2x starts to have more and more mods, all can be started from there.

Or, we can have two Xs, one with the SOR2 cast, and the other with Adam, Zan, Cherry, and Floyd. Would fit the mod's title as well.

I also had another idea for the game's visual options; transparent or original motion blurs/particle effects (jet thrusters, etc). Seperating all the motion trails, flame effects, etc, from character sprite sets and including them as separate entities that can be made either normal pixel art or high-res, like the hit sparks in the game.

I also noticed that characters seem to have both a sprite shadow and an in-engine shadow. This gives me an idea for some sort of "Shadows" setting, where you can decide between classic shadows and the in-engine reflective shadows.

As an option at least, as i know that can be exploitable for combos.

And an option to disable the alternative way to block. Because sometimes i want to throw two fast punches and a defensive special, and i make it too fast and the player blocks when i dont want to.

I don't know if it is a good idea... The game already has a lot of "cancel" possibilities. However I will do some tests.

And an option to disable the alternative way to block. Because sometimes i want to throw two fast punches and a defensive special, and i make it too fast and the player blocks when i dont want to
It makes sense, I can test an option to disable it.

Yeah i know XD, i thought the same.

But sometimes for example , against abadede. if you Grand Upper him, before the Grand Upper ends, he will repel you. I know that the idea is fight him with other tactics/attacks but well, sometimes when i forgot to not Grand Upper him goes through my head the idea "if i were able to cancel the grand Upper into a block, there would be no problem" XD (optional)

But i admit that it's more of a whim of mine more than anything else XD

I uploaded a full walkthrough of the Sor 2 route.
This one has custom sprites, but its not finished. Need to add things missing and fix others.

I need to learn some things to add the missing effects. And need to finish the spanish translation of menus,etc.

Wanted to add a full custom soundtrack too but need to find more tracks and loop them.

The video its a little dark i think but thats a nvidia shadowplay bug.
