After a long time silience, my studio and I have restarted SOR4.

Is that Blaze behind Axel? If so, thats a really nice character design for her.

Yea, I agree but he did make Rocket Viper 2 so that may explain it.

Oh, Volcanic, I wanted to also ask how you did your zoom effect. I tried to get it to work but I just can't quite follow it :-\

I've tried it that way but it isn't quit what I expected. I've looked into the scripts of RV2 but I can't get it to work the way you did. It's like it ignores ZOOM the way you did it but it allows Zoom the way UT explained. What Im asking is what are the steps you took to get Zoom to work like that? I don't see it applied in the character's or the effects' animation script so there had to be a special way it was scripted and I can't figure it out.

THis is awesome!? I love Volcanic games!? If the gameplay is as good as your Streets of Rage Z or Bare Knuckle VI I'll be more than happy.

I'd like a stage select.
Survival mode, where enemies come in waves, each wave gets harder.
If you are going to have a level up system like SOR Z, then a cheat that once you've beaten the game then you can do a new game plus with all moves unlocked.

What happened to your SVC mod is that still in progress?

Yes. Fate-X is still in progress.
And I've added faint system and some new levels.
When you're facing a faint enemy you can perform your powerful attack "PUNISH ATTACK" with no cost...

Cool,  I was adding the same thing with faint to a mod, except finishers/fatalities.  Thou I could never work out how force them to stay in faint anim for very long, it looks cool thou when you pull it off mid combat and punch someones head off or whatever.

I liked where you were going with fate-x.

About the mod, its a pretty cool mod. But some things bothers me, like Axel's knee strike. The animation is tad slow, it almost move just his knee (something impossible to do) and lacks impact.
 
I just watched the video and I'd say it's nice start.

I don't like this Donovan design, he's missing shades and this one looks chubbier. Original Donovan is athletic.

I can see that this is a start but I suggest updating boss fight. Streets of Rage series have great boss fight mostly because the bosses (sub bosses included) have great AI which give fun and challenging gameplay. They don't rely on backups like this either. I'm not sure if this guy in black is real boss or temporary boss but whoever will be the boss here, should fight on his/her own and not backed up at all
 
Sor 4 HD would be more promising edge, a real Remake up to a big company. Glad to have you back, hope you can finish it, that if it would be a dream come true

Currently we have only one enemy and Donovan is from old Sor4.
He needs to be redesigned.

great sprites, i recommend you stickman software to create animations for sprites, i make all my sprites in it and i use only 1 full picture of character then i animate body parts using skeleton, kinda like cutout or dragons crown game :

How did you get it to do that? Can you send me an example or script of what you've done?
 
With that great sprite work and volcanic scripting this will be a amazing mod I really cant wait
