So, as I mentioned before, after I had already used all the ideas that I had for the levels that I wanted in my game, an idea for a new level came up. It was suggested to me by oldmanwinters but I had already thought about it and decided no to do it. Thankfully, I changed my mind. So there's a scene on the 2nd episode of the original 1987 TV Series ("Enter The Shredder") where the turtles go in the Technodrome for the fist time, there they fight some "interesting" looking robots. Also, Bebop & Rocksteady are introduced in their mutant form. I still need to add some Sound FX but this video should give you a pretty good idea of what I'm going for.

I love this! You're bringing back some wonderful memories! I'm really looking forward to playing your final version when it's ready!

Glad I could help put the idea into your head!  I really think the debut of mutated Rocksteady and Bebop will be an essential part of your game's narrative!

cschifani : Thanks a lot! I'm really looking forward to finishing this.

oldmanwinters : Likewise. In the TV show that was the first time they fought Bebop And Rocksteady but, in my game, the Technodrome is the last level. I'm recreating that part from the show but, after they have already defeated Bebop & Rocksteady in their stages.

The Turtles visit the Technodrome multiple times in Season 1, and then Season 2 ends with another trip to it.  Since it's underground, it can move around, which might be an in-game explanation for why they have to "find it" again near the end of the game.

Very true oldmanwinters . I wanted the Technodrome to be the last level, but I guess I could add an extra Technodrome level at the beginning of the game, perhaps after the Zoo level and before the Outlaw Hero level. It would be closer to the TV Series. I wonder what other levels I could add based on the show but, like I mentioned before, I wanna release this so that I can focus on Masters of the Universe.

This level is based on the "Enter The Shredder" episode of the original 1987 series, specifically the Technodrome part.

I need some help regarding making some characters available in specific levels. When you play the "Extended Mode", April is the only playable characters at the beginning UNTIL The Turtles rescue her. After that level, all 4 Turtles, Splinter and April, become playable characters. There's one level where Casey Jones is introduced. In parts of that level Casey is the only playable character. What I wanted to do, actually, I wanted to know IF there's an option  to add time limit in the Select Screen. I used "skipselect" to make April the only playable character at the beginning of the game, with no "Select Screen". I tried doing that again with Casey but the second time "skipselect Casey" overwrites "skipslect April", I can't use both HOWEVER, you can use skipslect as many times as you want if the line is followed NOT by a character's name but an alternate "Select Screen". What I did is, in that alternate Select Screen Casey is the only playable character, and the Select Screen itself is disguised as a cutscene but it feels weird. If I put a time limit you could just skip to the level.

Appreciate your dedication to the new stage!  Hope someone can help you fix your select screen problem!

so the select screens appear after you beat a level or some levels? or you mean the select that you get after you die?

Just make Casey a weapon of April's or viceversa. Then add "setweap" in the level.
Otherwise you could use script to force a change in the model, but  it sounds like a headache that you could avoid simply by using weapons.

"skipselect", as I understand it, only works at the beginning of a level set.

Your idea of masking  a custom select screen and make it look like a cutscene is great. Why not go with that? A screen that says "Casey Jones jumps into action! Press any button to continue", and set the "waiting" animation out of frame.

But I'd just go with weapons. That's the easiest solution.

I guess these levels are for one player only?

This is looking mighty impressive!! :o
Specially since the first season of the cartoon is my favorite season...it's so nice to see the enviroments and enemies recreated in the classic konami tmnt2-3 style...super nostalgic.

mersox Thanks a lot for the ideas :) !  I think I'll just leave the Select Screen disguised as a cutscene. And yes, that Casey Jones level is only for 1 player.

Nickokapo Thank you so much!  :)

So,  I'm pretty sure I will be all done with this game once I complete this level.
I swear I'm not trying to copy what MersoX did with TMNT: Rescue Palooza but, I am trying to introduce the main characters in the same way they were introduced in the 1st Season of the Show. I also added the Small Knuckleheads as an enemy in the game. It makes more sense to introduce the small version before the Super-Sized Knucklehead from the "Casey Jones: Outlaw Hero" episode.

It's ok, i don't think it comes off that way ;D Besides, that kind of system makes particular sense in your game, since it follows the series, so of course they would have to be unlocked in chronological order.
(BTW, MersoX is recreating the first TMNT gameboy game now it seems!! i saw a preview on his youtube.)
Either way, great job!I'm glad to see the progress, and that you're closer to being done with it!
