Canceled Untitled DBZ mod

Starting my first mod. Planning to follow the DBZ story line. The only problem is that every existing Dragonball Z game is a vs fighter, so there are not many options for random bad guys.
If anyone is interested in helping out with this project let me know! Sprite sheets/edits, HUD graphics, anything at all! Here is a quick preview of what I have right now, not much at all.

Thank you for the input, I guess what I meant was for the artwork style I am going for there are no random bad guys to use. I am thinking about editing vegeta with armor to make some random bad guy saiyans and the same with the ginyu force to make some random henchmen on namek. Plus pallete swaps of those and the saibamen.
 
Unfortunately the program I used to record the video made it choppy, maybe I can find a better program or get a better computer, hahaha!
The second character is perfect for a random bad guy! Thank you
 
Nice start!
I think you need to tell us what story you are going to have in your mod. The story will help us finding bad guys for your mod.

Or if you'd like, you can make new story in which Goku and friends have to face a new enemy (outside DBZ official story). This would allow you to use punks, robots or other baddies for your mod.

@bloodbane, I am thinking about following the DBZ show storyline as most as I can. But of course there will need to be some changes to add in random bad guys, but that is fine.
@itsuchi, The goku actually came from Mugen Mundo Team, but those characters look really awesome!
The way I see it is if I end up using a couple different saibamen then edit some sprites to look like random saiyans/frieza hecnhmen it will be alright. I mean if you think about it tmnt is 90% foot soldiers in different colors haha.

I'm going to try and make him both, I'm going to only have certain characters playable at certain times in the game. (I think I can do it the way I want).
All the sprites I have may not be the best, however to get the most characters in the game all the sprites have to somewhat be the same style
 
This looks awesome! I'm working on one too! But mine is a story 500 years after Z with new characters. Does anyone know where I can find stuff to build stages related to Dbz?
 
These Big sprites (mostly by Balthazar IFAIK) are really nice.
I love mods with big sprites for some change!! :)
But IMO, you will be really limited if you use them because there is not that much charcters to use based on this style.

I suggest to use more regular sprites, like the ones you can see on snes and genesis. By looking at various databases of mugen or other you can find almost every single character who have appeared in DBZ series (even sometimes non-fighter ones)
 
sweet finally a DBZ mod, The other one was cool but this is pass due. Balthazar's sprites are beautiful, but nothing else fit that style. good luck
 
Still trying my best to learn this program. Here is another video (Choppy unfortunately) of me trying out the combo for Goku. It is a 'follow' attack. Right now all I did was edit the sprites to make him go from forward to behind and back, I'm sure there is a better way to do this if anyone can help?

btw - the combo ends with the kick, I threw in the kamehameha because he didn't die

your method worked quite well if you ask me ! 

but yes if you wanted to use scripts you could change the players x coordinates  to teleport them from one side to another are you using scripts in your mod yet ?
 
I am not using scripts yet, don't really know how to get started with them. I will have to try and find some tutorials.
I'm sure I will need to start using them if I want my mod to be good.
 
Select screen WIP. Is there a way to not flip the image for player 2? Thinking about adding names underneath box, but it won't work if the image is mirrored for Player 2.
