hell folks, sorry for not being here as of late, been working on 4 different projects . lol

well this just small sprite update on some things. other work is being done and will show those later when more completed.

this is the redo in shading and details to the IMT Coptership with Zvitor ( as himself sprite) as the pilot of the Coptership. Gonna find a few others to add in that i want. this is for outside stages and mainly will be used for the Sky battle stage which you will get to pilot one of 2 vehicles.

this rework editing was done by awesome sprite artist Exelord , who as well be in the game too. Major thanks to hi for helpin us out .

the ( older loo of the copter ship before editing work above)  actual animation will be much smoother than this , my image when uploaded to photobucket was messed up but ingame will be set perfectly as i have it on my desktop  in my dropbox .

I am working with good buddy and fellow Crom member Hekathon on the Monster Island stage and we are coming up with various monsters to add in for each level section and  the huge sub boss and bigger stage end boss. A 10 headed dragon that Heka is  designing and workin on as well other monsters he comes up with.

this is first place i shown all 3 publicly before adding in more details like better eye structure to being one huge eye for the cyclops  and adding better detail to the outfit to have a more "fur" like appearance. Each will be equipped with a different weapon and will appear only at certain levels of the stage. Human color is for the sand level and weaker version, Green is for the more jungle like stage ( we got a good stage rip to work with for that too lol) and the Red version is for the Mountain like area and harder to beat. Takes more hits to defeat it.  the sub boss is a huge beast with a 2 headed creature guy riding it with a whip to attack. i am working on that as well and should be finished it in due time soon. half of it is almost complete then on to the second half of the sprite . then later work on the animations for movements and attacks.

the title screen is gonna get a much better bg added and trying to come up with a cool custom like select screen . so soon we can get a good coder to begin working in the main material so far made to use and started up.

ahhh haaa good eye man really good eye. lol yup. i loved that version of cyclops the old school look but i wanted to add a bit of modern to it and decided not to go with the same type legs. i have some i was gonna use but i liked this one better as the base works good and i anted to keep in play that monster island is a lab where experiments were going on there and makin all kinds of monsters from old school stuff to new weird things a bit.

here is some small updated info on the progress in sprite works and a a look at the mockup for the select screen before finishing it.

. I wanted to get started on one of the forest/jungle whatever creatures in there and decided to def add a Zombie soldier  to it with blood on him. The island itself is likie one huge experiment  and hidden militia lab and all kinds of creatures being made from cult classics to unorthodox hybrids . So here is my first take on a zombie soldier.

i got the whole walk sheet in place to do the simple pal editing but i wanted to go further in idea with it. Add a beret hat so far. maybe as well add a real deal helmet to others.  i am thinkin of having some carry guns and walkin and shooting at moments ( the beret hats ones) while others just jump you to bite you. i added the gun and made him a bit more soldier like in appearance with his arms too. he a special ops experiment like  zombie dude so of course gotta beef him up just a tad lol. Let me know if looks cool then i can set aside for the completed sheet  walk sheet to finish the animation editing with some gun firing fx to be added.

found a sheet to use and i am thinking of this one for the monster island forest/jungle stage scene. comprised the frames for animations and about to hookup this sand monster projectile attack i have to edit , add gun to one of the zombies and weapons to the cyclops monsters.  :)

i have the frames as well for the get hit and die animations too.    8)

one of the names pitched if not the designated name now for the enemy Organization that the players will face is called.: Bastards Assembled for Disorders in Shadows
in short: B.A.D.S. Organization :D now will have to come up with an evil insignia for them ...like Cobra has from GI joe cartoon has.  lol  ;D

i decided to show this early build of the sub boss  before you fight the main end boss of that stage  which is supposed to be a 10 headed huge dragon mosnter lol

this beast is only half of the initial creation which is the riding beast  with a 2 headed monster dude riding on top of it with a whip for attacks. i am slowly detailing it and add more shading in spots. the saddle may need to be corrected as well .  i still have to add the kind of feet i was told should work for this , (it quakes the ground as it walks and is slow)  and add the reigns from around mouth up to the actual rider i must make for it and other leg.  :)

i wasnt going to show it just yet but i decide to give in inside view of the process and progress.  next time i will show it with rider and then some animations i can come up with for it. I think the huge riding beast will shoot somethin from its mouth , like green fireball. So i have to get a good fireball fx and if not i edit maybe a Cvs Ryu fireball colors to fit. 
I had got a lil feedback from Atlas on the big monster and to maybe resize its head a bit bigger. So i have a sheet of another monster as i was planning on makin the big monster a lil smaller, more add ons and also it has a bigger head which i had to do some good editing to it to make it form right.  I am still figuring should i continue with the much more bigger version or use this one . liked the arnaments and redoing them some more , just a tad and will either keep this one or restructure the bigger version and fuse it with this one and the sprite sheet so the moves will still come out fine.

the green slobber on the other is just to see if would work for the bigger one if i plan to swap the head and other parts.. lol
i got walk, leap and  attack sprites for this to edit before thinkin of adding the rider to this or the other as the main version.
got up and on a lil early today  and had to hook up something for the slect screen before i roll into some more sprite work today on some animations and stage stuff as well some TC Larry and ABR material.
here is a first version mockup i came up with. More add in for details and quality will be added.  any reasonable ideas ...roll them to me.  :)

for the BG i am thinkin of something cool can be added. have to check with some folks on that being made up to add the select screen in if liked enough and then concetrate on the finished look of it to get all coded in i figure.  ::saluteoh and there is more room for more players to be added so i can take out the logo too for those and the Boosters selection at bottom has more room as well. 

workin things up to get not just this stage up to par but as well the demo stage soon and rest of what is required for to being coding certain things in and started up.
 
lol whats good o illu bro. yeah he did , i told him to tell you it was all good and of course man. i was gonna ask you too as well before he even asked me. lol. i posted at IMT as well some days ago right after you asked me about it in the thread. its a honor man to have you in the game with us all. Its not just the crew but the community and who wants to be in somehow we can try to squeeze as much cool stuff and folks in as possible.Loganir and verz are hookin up something on themselves and i already got one of the sprites loganir did himself for the end scene stage that will be in the demo. Loganirs Bar. Him and Verz are bartenders behind the bar table and if you get to nab their booster icon they start shooting they guns at the enemies for hits. lol. fun cool idea and gonna try and have that going pretty good. Loganir is gonna do up a stage for us to use for that himself. So i am just waiting on the set piece he finds and does what he does. lool. So yeah man just roll me the idea or ideas of what you have in mind for yourself and we shall see about gettin you all hooked up bro.  8)
 
a lil small sample of what DCL booster will be like:
The fonts pop up after the booster sprited version of DCL ( i already done the base look he wanted and now gonna be rolling into his actual bootser animation for when he comes on screen and snaps his fingers then teleports back out for this to happen lol)  then the fonts appear on screen first then the cockpit with DCL in it and  you the player can move side to side and when player taps the fire button ( it only fires if you tap the button for it to fire...if that can be coded to work right ) the  sprited fingers will tap the button on the controls. i have to do that quick editing for that. easy as pie for that edit. this should be funny and dang cool once done and nailed just right!  :D i added mirror dice with his name on it as well on one of the dashboard things.  ;D

once i am done the editing for the fingers and animation for the side to side movement i will show that as well. plus the finished snap of the fingers edit of DCL. Big props to DCL for the touching up on the cockpit shading for me from the rips.

to demonstrate more how this works i did a more visual of the 2nd phase of his booster (without gunshot fx of course lol )  so you can see what i mean of sorts.
After the Booster call in , which he phases in and does a finger snap and phases back out ..kinda like ole megaman does..... then the words pop up on screen and your treated to the inside view of the cockpit with DCL hands at the triggers ( just like  mvc Jin does) but with a lil added bonus, you control the actual cockpit and gun fire. your able at now to move from side to side and fire at will. can pretty much pick off the enemies you want to. i edited the thumbs as well to actuall hit the buttons to fire upon button presses as demonstrated. this will probably be one of the most unique of all the Boosters so far. once i finish the actual animation for DCL sprite which i have started a couple days ago for him and now going into the fullness of it with the way he desired the character to look for himself i will show it . I want to have thois booster as well playable for the demo this year. :thumbsup:

LOL Man, Lando. When I look at that movement of that DCL booster, that looks like you're playing a pinball especially you're tilting at the screen. LOL I think it would be interesting to see the cross the move around for shooting enemies. Are you planning it to make only in a horizontal movement?

thanx guys.  tryin to put in as much cool stuff that is doable and will try to get a demo up sometime this year. it will be 1 stage demo.
@ maxman - well this was just the first animation  test but yeah , that targeting cross i want to move around so you can pinpoint which enemies you want to shoot..  i dont know how much a trickiness this will be to function properly to be made, but i like to explore every option to have this in as possible code wise and execution. its kinda how loganir told me , a sort of mini game booster , only locked in to DCL booster character. there will be a time limit of course so you got to make the shooting count. lol . long as it can be done code wise then it should be a fun treat.

@ DjGamefreak, thanx man. appreciate it bro. Oh rest assured , this game will be a finished product. workin too hard on it and some cool laughs with ideas to not have it done. lol.  A good community folks involvement is helping it go very well in these begining stages of development to make it better.

@ o illu...yo i have never heard of that Caipirinha before! now i must check this out for myself! lol

Hmmm noted o illlu. I could lower the resolution on the bg then put logo back. I will try that method but hopefully it wont look too off from the logo. See if i can blend it all a tad more.


edit. Aight i deinterlaced, dropped the resolution down some pegs, not too much cause then it gets way off. stars start missing and the planet gets too faded. i also pixelized it a bit more and featherd the arura glow just a tad so not to lose too much quality from the previous.  This is as far as i am taking it down from the Higher resolution , i tried to go much more lower and pixelized...and it looked like a  minecraft poster. lol. So nahh not going that far down at all. lol . So this now is the balanced middle ground between both lo and high.

if total using it , i will try to soften it with logo attached just a tiny bit.  Thanx for the suggestion Illu.
