@DIF: nice stage, will the statues attack the chars?
I'm trying to do that as we speak, I hope I can get it working...

and how you make him always pick that weapon?
Most modders create an entity, for example Williams with a bat, as a different enemy, so he will only "drop" the bat whe he dies (thanks to the item command), but if you make that williams+bat as a weapon model for another enemy, let's say williams, he will pick up the weapon randomly. At least I tried in the past without using any special command, and the enemy pick the weapon automatically.

So, once you set a weapon on the entity header and once it lost the weapon, the engine will make it try to recover that weapon?

Yes, by default AI entities are aware of what weapons they can use and will seek them out.

it will also depends of the agression level? for example enemies with a high agression will tend to pick weapons more often than enemies with a low agression.

hehehe props to the coders, you guys made many things on this engine to be very smart :)

@jiam: That's a surprise. I can't tell what's the story anymore if Marian can be rescued that early in game :)

@Die_in_Fire: Nice progress!
Are you going to add effects such as enemies coming from doors and Abobo 'coming' from wall?
Seeing the last part of this stage allows scrolling back and forth, you really must use noscpos.c I posted some time ago.

BTW aside of attacking statues, will there be other traps? I remember there are 'thrusting blocks' at start of this stage.

I added enemies coming from doors on the other stages, hope to finish that for this stage today.
I added the statues and some other small traps last night, but the blocks will be added on a future update.
About Abob coming from wall, I really want to do it, but I don't have "wall crumbling" sprites to do that. It shouldn't be too difficult to sprite edit, but just still don't have the time. However I think is a must add stuff.

I need lot of help with some bugs, but I will get to that when you guys can try the game for yourselves (tomorrow).

For example, I don't know how to remove a white line that appears on the upper left side  ::)

I finished a demo on last Tuesday, but I don't have Internet to upload it...  :-X

But well, as you can see (barely) on the pictures I took with my phone, I changed the fonts, now Bolo and Abobo comes by destroying a wall, the statues attacks  :)

Looks awesome dude!

I've wanted to play this mod for ages now!

The main WIP/mod I've been really looking forward to a demo.

Thanks a lot guys. My threads have never been popular so I really appreciate your words.

In the meantime I don't have Internet, I made a few minor changes and made an intro. I will go to the city library tomorrow to see if I can upload the demo, but last time I went there the USB ports were covered.

Now looking for a good sound effect for abobo's wall crushing. I have the nsf files from dd2 and dd3, but not sure yet which sound fits better.
