addendum:

you would have to dump the frame animations that result from the "jiggle effect" - & re-do the character.txt file

example , your normal animation for kick is 5 frames, your new animation for kick with the "jiggle" included would be 15 -
unless someone can create a "sketch jiggle" effect using script in openbor, i see no other way.

i was thinking a modified "rain drops" script that Damon Caskey recently made, instead of making visible rain pixels, what it does is create dark or black pixels "outlines" the have the "jiggle" look.

the only problem i see with both water & the "droplets based" script  is that all characters will have the exact same "jiggle" pattern simultaneously - i think that visually, having all elements with different jiggle patterns would look more organic...
 
Hello everyone, I had not presented my project well so:

This is an action-adventure RPG focused on the Tales Of style.

The game is kind of straightforward in regards to graphics and sound effects (since this is my first OpenBOR game). I'm trying to improve the graphics a bit and some other little things. And soon I will release my first demo of the Mod, Greetings to all!  ;)

Fire Hearts V1.9:

-Fix some bugs in various animations (previously suggested by msmalik681)

-Also fix some character scripts that had bugs

-Added a custom menu in battle mode (still beta)

-Two new characters: Lyna and John

-Various fighting scenarios available

Remaining Things: Start with the story, more enemies, levels, characters, and other things more

Note: OpenBOR v3.0 compilation 4905 is required for optimal performance
 
I've played the demo and although it's nice to see more characters join the band, I'm not fond of how battle is done.

There's no escape move so after a hero is knocked down, he/she has to move away immediately to avoid attacks from enemies. If you can't add escape move, at least riseinv is good enough :)

I can see that you use custom pause system but it needs improvement IMO. Running chance is very low making it less reliable option. And the worst part is that I can't exit to menu when I'm inside random encounter :(. Custom pause is good but please don't remove default options such as returning to main menu :)

That being said, this game has potential. If you can solve that issue and make battles more fun, this could become great game  ;D
 
Thank you very much friend. The menu is still in beta version, I am improving it a bit, also on the escape mode. If we say that it is very difficult to escape from battles, but I am adding one that does not use a random value but a bar that fills to escape. By the way, to dodge, you only press defense + forward or back (I should have indicated that before, right? I'm stupid) Well, thanks for all my friend  ;D

hello friends of chronocrash. I have been somewhat absent for my work and one or another personal matter. Hello hello. How are you guys. Here I bring a new update of my game which contains:

1. The ability to select companions in the menu to fight with the player.

2. The possibility of using items in battle, both the player and the NPCS.

3. Now it is possible to change the behavior of teammates, for example: use objects, attack or not, focus on defense or just dodge the enemy.

4. Improvements in random battle codes.

5. HUD improvements.

6. Added super moves (beta)

7. Improved battle menu.

8. Two new characters: Yilong and Runa.

9. A new Random battle zone.

10. New combo battle system.

11. Healing system and mp for NPCS.

12. Custom GameOver Screen
