Punisher : World Warzone (Discussion)

            ~Update Alpha 1G~

Added/Removed :

Blob added to the roster.
Weapon pickups will now carry over to the next round if weilding a weapon.
Removed Belger's Mansion stage because i'm completly redoing the Interactive stuff.

Characters updated :

Punisher = Should now use finishers only on the final round.
Punisher = Rasied rifle to shoulder for Rifle Shot special to try and line up the head pop finisher.
Punisher = During Rifle Shot special if holding up or back before the shot happens you can change the direction of shot.
Punisher = Grenade Hyper can now be aimed in 4 directions. Also changed guardflag from L to MA.
Punisher = Removed pausetime movement on some ranged moves. Grenade is supposed to move during pauses, so no change to it.
Punisher = Fixed bullet collision if bullet hit by another projectile. Raised the hit priority from 6 to 7.
Punisher = Changed the command to re-fire the pistol, too simply hitting the same punch button again.
Cody = Cody's explosion finisher animations are complete for Punisher's grenade hyper.
Blaze = added Embukyaku special move.
Blaze = Max striker can now be hit.
Other smaller changes made to hit overrides, hit priorities & damage dealt for moves.

If you decide to get back into Mugen you should join the project & make a character for the game.

If you ever decide you want to put together a char & need some help getting back into Mugen then I can help out if you have Skype & a microphone. We can use the screenshare feature in skype to see each others Fighter Factory.

I don't really use Skype because of my crappy internet, but I might suggest a character I created (using one of yours as a template) Then you're free to edit it to match better your needs in this project.
BTW, do you have some guidelines about who will be in your game (beside the fact they are most from oldschool beat em up...)

Also, as you can see, I given a better feedback at MGF :)
 
@Ned No guidelines other than I don't really want to use normal fighting game sprites/characters in the game. For example if I was going to make the comic villain Boomerang, then I would choose Slice from Cadillac's & Dinosaurs as the base.



I choose Punisher to build the game around for a few reasons. #1 I can add comic characters if I want without them seeming out of place. #2 Excuse to make the game bloody & justify finishers. #3 his sprites are a good size & what i'm aiming for.
 
Showing off a few new moves for Cody & Punisher. Cody now has a tornado upper special, 2 new hypers and Jessica as his striker/team member. Punisher has a quick scope new hyper. In this battle you can see that the AI has been improved a little for both characters, but still needs work.

I have been on a Mugen break for a about 4 months. Just now getting back into it and decided to work on an update, but it's not ready yet Ned. Maybe in two weeks I think I can get the update released. Till then i'm just showing off some video footage.

BTW, I typed too fast, saying I was about to DL the demo and test it.
I just checked it after, seeing it was not a demo release.
I'm not requesting a demo this way! :) Even if I can't wait to try it in the future !
Some updates for Blaze as Well?
 
She will be getting a small update, but the main focus will be on Cody & getting him closer to completion. I will be making a video in a week or two of me discussing the changes/updates that have been made to the game. It's easier for me to make a discussion video than it is to type everything I would like to say in a forum thread.
 
The next update will be released this Saturday 2/24/2018. Here's a preview of the new character Poacher Joe from Cadillac's & Dinosaur's. :D

If you wanted somebody really, really obscure, Chris from Legionnaire is a good choice.

Her sprites have a pretty neat design, actually. Notably, her game was considered lost for quite a while.
 
Not a bad set of moves/sprites for her. I'll definitely look into this. Need to spend some time with the game & see if some ideas come to me.
