Good morning everyone, i'm sorry about the late delays of my project because i was working on a mugen character at the moment. But i aim to lift your spirits by showing the preview of the game modes triple threat match and fatal four match for Real Bout Pro Wrestling. Triple Threat match mode all players to engage the CPU controlled wrestlers in a three way struggle to victory, while Fatal Four Way match mode is every man for themselves as they fight and brutalize their way to the top. I intended to share the update of the game mode previews after i uploaded them on YouTube last month, but i was distracted by other matters. But at any case, i hope you guys enjoy the gameplay of these videos and let me know what you think.

This is always nice to see some custom grabs :) ; the wrestlers may need more slams / throws and some grabattacks .
I'm not a great of the enemy death by blinking, one life should be better or the player can respawn with anim rise .

This is definitely the closest mod of my initial project.
Now, I wish you can go ahead and add more characters.
I think that first, swapping sprites would be a good step to create original ones, then tweaking moves, attacks, slams to make it different in gameplay experience.

Thanks Ned! I am very thankful for you guys showing me support for this project despite it's many delays and sidetracks. But I'll be able to add more and more content as time flies by including me following your advice to tweak and flesh out more moves to the characters, but I'm afraid that I'm not that capable of editing sprites sadly, however I'll see what I can do.

When you talk about editing sprites. you mean.
-Making actual custom sprites / sprites edits?
or
-Actually adding and animate existing sprites into Openbor?

Perhaps my limitation in english make me not understanding the sentence perfectly.
 
I believe Jeremiah means sprite edits. He thinks sprite editing is when you edit pixels by hand on the character sprites or whatever.

@jeremiah.cuff what Ned is trying to say is that you can do a franken sprite by having two or more characters which you desire for making into a one unique character. Take a look at @bWWd's mod called Super Fighting Spirit about the edits of enemies.

Sorry for the misunderstanding by the way, I never done frankenspriting and it's my first time hearing about it. Thanks for sharing this tutorial because I want to see if I can make it work for my project.

Yes, basically, you can give the feeling of a new character just by frankenspriting a head into another character + making a color swap.
Basically, Ryu - Ken
And by adding details of costume etc, you can have something like Kyo - Shingo.

I'm not the biggest fan of frankenspriting parts of body, because it usually result on weird animation effect (ok for single sprite, but not for full characters IMO)
For full characters, head swap is enough (+ color)

Good to know my friend, i don't know if you saw my profile post, but i just announced that I'm adding the characters Layla and Reggie from Dragoon Might to this project after i included Natasha from both Pierwolf's Fighter's History Revenge. Layla is going to be portrayed as Isolda's cousin Melania from both Tides Before The Tragedy and Neon Lightning Force while i portray Reggie as an entirely different character. So I'll make video previews of their gameplay on YouTube soon right after I'm done working on their text files, so keep a look out for them.

Good evening everyone, sorry to keep you waiting. Here's the gameplay preview of Layla from Dragoon Might who is portrayed as Isolda's cousin Melania for Real Bout Pro Wrestling. According to the video, Melania's characterization in this game has taken quite a dark turn, the organization from Neon Lightning Force called "The Club" has bribed the owners of the high end strip club Melania was working for after they discovered she was related to the police detective Isolda Shinawara. This led the owner to fire her and then they tried to have the livid dancer assassinated by gangsters sent by "The Club". Melania survives the gangsters' attempt on her life and went into hiding, these chaotic chain of events has turned Melania from a cheerful, seductive airhead to a bitter and furious woman who is out for revenge towards "The Club", even joining the Neopolis Wrestling League to do so.

I manage to finish most of Melania's text file for this game, i just have her super special move and some of her throws to finish making. Reggie's text file is still in the works and he will be computer controlled opponent in the next update. In the meantime, i hope you guys enjoy this video and let me know what you think! ;)

 
Good work. Melania's delay move at 1:00 seems slow for a special. A little bit faster delay on that move. No need to be too fast or too slow. Increase speed a little bit.
 
A small update for this wrestling project, I'm currently adding more content as we speak and including more slams and slam pain sprites for the characters. I know that I have been silent lately, but i had to take some time off of Openbor ever since I got done with Mordred's storyline for Knights of the Round Annihilation. I let you guys know about the upcoming updates I plan to add to my Real Bout Pro Wrestling project and more previews will be added soon. Peace my brothers and sisters of Chrono Crash! ✌️
 
Good evening everyone, I been making some good progress on my Real Bout Pro Wrestling project lately, I showcasing video previews of some throws and slams included to Allison, Melania, and Chief Night Snake's movesets, I also added a super move in Melania's text file but it needs a little bit of work. More grappling techniques will be added to the playable and enemy characters eventually, but I hope you guys enjoy what I made so far and let me know what you think.

Would be nice if you added the ring as an interactive environment, running off the ropes, jumping off the top rope etc.
I'll have to think about adding those features to my project because I am not sure if I have the skill to program the characters with those interactive ring mechanics. But I appreciate you for giving me feedback about it though Danno.
