Art Some pixels I want to show you

The thread is some time of visual artwork like sketch, painting, or sprite work.
I really find that this bike stage has some potential. Moreover, It would nice if your stage has more wastelands and sometimes a few houses near the road ;).
Here you can see that Fog/Storm can throw Molotov Coktails = fire bombs:

So I have made this:

You can test at the same time Blaze and some news attacks for Axel (up and down attacks):

I can continue with the other characters if it's the animations that you have in mind :)

Great work Kratus, never thought we could code bike mode like that  ;D.
I wish there's more to gain from increasing speed in bike mode, such as chasing a car or something

Good sprite work kimono ;D. Seeing Axel lifting his arm upwards to toss something reminds me of Hogg, 3rd stage boss of Cadillacs and Dinosaurs

Nice work with the sprites! It will be a great help for the next updates, thanks. I already did a molotov but sometimes it is hard to see because when the molotov hit the ground and explodes, your speed will be according to the bike speed but I can make it more slow.
For now, I think we can work with back and wheeling attack for all heroes.

Thanks, it can be a good idea. Knives, grenades and other things can be throwned according to bike color. I will make some tests

Thank you my friend! Chasing a car is a nice idea, and I can increase more speed too. If this bike stage works with no problems, I have plans to extend it to an exclusive "Race Mode", using all levels that have any road or street from SOR2/SOR3. And for the next updates, I will make more bike stages during the game.

Here is a background I made for a cancelled project I was apart of.

Here are the separate layers I made. I originally had a few small ones for example on how to tell the programmer on how to do it, but I added a few more to demonstrate how it might look.

Thanks.

And yeah, I can understand. They are difficult, but I can find some degree of joy if in the right mood, and also the right type of background.

Nice background set :)

I like that you showed seperate layers so anyone who use them can set them seperately each with different scroll speed or at least reorder them

You should start your own thread for this :)

Thanks. And yeah, that's not a bad idea at all. I might do stuff like that. I am perfectly open to someone seeing my work and wanting to use it in their project as well, so if that can be done here, I might definitely consider. :)

CosmoBuggi: This background reminds me Final Fight in some ways and Street Fighter II arcade title screen:
You've taken care of it, good polished work ;)

I just want to share 2 others bikes spritesheets, so the 3 mains SOR1 characters can attack now in four directions:

I can see that, yeah. Not a bad observation. :)

The style of the buildings, and somewhat the color scheme has a similar tone to it.

O Ilusionista: Thank you O' for your kind words, I'm just trying to do my best :)

I try currently to fullfill a task, to resurrect an old SOR1 boss prototype replaced by the well known Antonio with his boomerang:

Here is the lineart but I'm not very satisfied by the vest coloration, if anyone can suggest me a better shading:

I named him Douglas Bear alias D.Bear, the younger brother of R.Bear. He usually fights with a chain and gloves :).

I’m not very satisfied with his shoes either, I recommend you shade them like his brother’s feet. Maybe some more on the gloves, too?

CosmoBuggi: Thank you for this recoloration, now Douglas Bear is ready to rise from the grave!  :P
Here's a block anim, I will update him often, feel free to criticize each sprite ;):

I updated the spritesheet with a new frame and alternate palettes. Recolouring the sprite is an interesting exercise because it shows some small pixel problems that are not obvious with the original colours.
